Im am a newbie and have some questions about the ranger. I looked out for guides and browsed this forum, but I couldnt find the answers for the following 2 questions:

1. Quivers - where can I get them? When I search the broker I only see some bags for thrown ammo. I dont think they are meant for arrows, or are they? I tried crafting my own, but the only recipes I see are for those thrown-ammo-bags but no quivers for arrows anywhere. What am I missing?

2. Im not yet lvl 14, but anyway: What is the most useful choice for master II spells - and if possible - why? Some hints would be very much appreciated.

Not sure about the quivers, but my first master I used it on the backstab. The other two masteries from 24 and ...34(?) is wisely spend on Makeshift Arrows and Salvaged Arrows.

Try and type QUIVER in the broker search field after resetting the search.

As for the quiver, type "quiver" (minus the quotes) into the broker. There should be a few that come up. Another option, is to find a tailor to make one for you.

The quiver's are easy search quiver in the broker.

For the master 2 choice, the OP recommended your 2 salvage arrows line which give 65 arrows every 10 minutes. While this is a ok choice at higher levels, at your level I feel this would be a poor choice and here is my reasoning.

At the early levels you do not have many high damage archery skills. And you are still reliant on a lot of your high damage mellee skills to do damage. Therefore, you will probably not go through as many arrows in a night as you would if say you were 40-60. Thus, I dont think you will need the master 2 of your salvage arrow skill. Make sure you click it each time it is up and getting 35 every 10 minutes will be fine. Plus, you can buy tin arrows for like 70c for 99. You are going to get some high damage choices at those levels and I would think you would be better served choosing one of those. Especially if you can choose triple arrow at Master2 or debilitating arrow at master2. We are a damage class and as much as we need arrows I can see wasting a master 2 choice on getting arrows. Now when I respec'd I chose a master 2 of salvage arrows at 50 because I needed the arrows and I would not use a damage CA at that level anyways.

Just my 2cp.

Elbryan64 Ranger

I agree with Elbryan, BUT I waould still take salvaged arrows as a M2. I got lucky and was way beyond those levels when the M2s were added, BUT I still use salvaged ALL the time. 65 crap arrows are better than NO arrows. I would under NO circumstances take TWO M2 arrows...

I would not recomend taking the Salvaged Arrows version at level 14, I think it's Makeshift Arrows, not sure. Here's me reasoning. . .At that level, the arrows are relatively inexpensive. Just buy a nice big quiver (from the broker typing quiver or asking a tailor to make one for you) and fill it up with arrows you buy from an NPC vendor. Everytime you finish adventuring, refill that quiver until it's full. At the level, you need to focus on maximizing your damage output. At higher levels, when your arrows cost about 2 silver each, then I would suggest masterizing your arrow-makers. . . Lol, I only found out this logic AFTER I had made my choice :smileywink:

Message Edited by Guitar_Guru on 03-14-200607:51 AM
