<div>I used 6k+ arrows today grinding xp and doing instances which was pretty much the same thing cause Devourer is just as much an instance run as it is an xp grind. Anyways 6k+ arrows is a lot and it was probably more since I can't count the arrows that I got while I was fighting, regardless it's a touch on the ridicules side and I think our Reclaim arrow line needs a boost in the number of arrows harvested. I'd say bring back endless quiver but that would just make an already useless tradeskill class, well useless so there is now harm bring it back those [Removed for Content] don't do anythign anyways lol. Or lower costs on vendor bought arrows or cost to make arrows because if I want to maintain my dps I have to either buy arrows or have a freaking mega ton stock pile of them everytime I want to say boo to more than a few mobs. Even 4k+ arrows a day is too high let alone the 6k marker and it needs to be looked into. For the record I was grinding for about 4hrs to use that many arrows, I had three bags full when I started and 3 bags empty when I was done. Dev's please look into our arrow usage, I don't mind paying for arrows, but when I can't keep arrows on me to save my life it gets old fast. Running to EG every few hours to drop another 1-2p just so I can do my job isn't cool.</div>

<div></div><p>Good post here discussing exactly what your talking about Gailstryder.</p><p> </p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=a4&message.id=3660">http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=a4&message.id=3660</a></p>
<div></div>Speaking as a member of said useless Tradeskill class... Chameleon Totems rule. I don't think I've ever made arrows... ever. (Maybe once but it was such a traumatic experience I've repressed it). :smileyvery-happy:

I just posted an idea that would make everyone happy (I think). Let WW make BUNDLES of arrows (single combine) that are basically stacks of 1000. You could put one bundle in each quiver slot and effectively never run out of arrows...<div></div>

<div></div><div>In reply to arrows and crafting....</div><div> </div><div>When the crafting revamp hits you will see many more woodworkers willing to make arrows for different tiers. Why you say? Because crafting is getting a huge nerf/fix depending on your point of view.</div><div> </div><div>Crafting as we know it is a thing of the past soon. Instead of a thousand refines for something. You just plug in the raws and wham you have your finish. So no more ingot>arrowhead>refining lumber>finish. It will look more like ingot>raw wood>arrow....</div><div> </div><div>I also heard a rumor of making "batches" of things at once (for stackable items only).</div><div> </div><div>So crafted arrows should soon be the norm and not the exception.</div><div> </div><div>EDIT: typos</div><p>Message Edited by StealthM0de on <span class="date_text">03-10-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:49 AM</span></p>
<div></div>Actually ignot or cluster/raw wood/root (I think) + fuel = arrows. I have yet to level beyond 60 as a WW, trying to get 70 ranger first but my understanding is that due to the high amount of raws (often more then you needed with the old subcombine system) they have just shifted the repetitive tasks from crafting all sort of subcombines to harvesting. I worry about the economics of the new system (especially for the pure crafter) because roots were costly before and now demend is even higher. This effects Ranger (since this is the ranger forum) in that I don't forsee the cost of crafted arrows coming down at all. I actually think the price will go up infact (despite the fact that the cost for fuel is less under the new system).

<div></div><div>WWs are still not going to sell Arrows for profit post TS revamp. Why would they stick a stack of 99 arrows in their limited vault space when they can fill them with totems or repair kits or whatever? I blow through 4-6k in arrows a night XPing and I seriously doubt someone is going to have 40-60 stacks of arrows on their broker (that are affordable). <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>I really don't see them putting Endless Quiver in the game, it would invalidate their plans to give WWs better arrow recipies. Bundles of arrows are probably the best solution and I would hope that they eventually put something like that in game.</div><p>Message Edited by Incedious on <span class="date_text">03-10-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:12 AM</span></p>

<div></div>Aye, the bundle idea sounds good to me as well and so does the idea of making WW made arrows have extended affects beyond summoned store bought arrows that would make them more wanted. In all something will have to be done because as each new tier is introduced, I use more and more arrows and eventually it will become so redicules they may have to introduce something like Endless Quiver if something isn't done.

<div></div><div>It doesn't address paying for the main type of damage we do, which no other class does. Although, it does affect assassins to some degree. It's not like we're using arrows to pull. Even if arrows are 'cheap', if you use 4k of them a night (which I do when I play), it adds up quickly.</div><div> </div><div>If you're paying a few plat a week for arrows/poisons, it becomes awfully tempting to play a sorceror instead because that adds up to quite a few upgrades. If we're paying a few plat to do "extra" damage like we did under the procs, that is okay too. I didn't mind that so much.</div><div> </div><div>How do we get this to the attention of some developers?</div><div> </div><div>I'm waiting for LU21 to play my Ranger again but it's a concern. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div></div>When i ts i always hit my arrow spell fill massive amounts of bank slots with arrows. Still run out half way through grind and have to bum the tanks arrows. 6k is a light night at this point. I would love for them to put in a endless quiver aa or even a reduced/reclaimed arrow cost for the future. I dont mind paying for dps but when i spend more on arrows/poisions then i am getting on loots its annoying.

EQ1-style Endless Quiver isn't the answer. It can't be something gained at a certain level, or by a certain class, or as an advancement. It has to be a game-wide simple mechanic. That's why I advocate woodworker-made attunable "bundles" of unlimitted arrows (or throwing knives, etc). Otherwise, the devs are going to have to constantly be adjusting the number of arrows per combine, or per summon; and players will be forever frustrated. There is no way that the devs can make limited ammo into a workable mechanic for both rangers and non-rangers alike.<div></div>
