Well gentlemen, and you beautiful ladies out there , it now seems that my ranger days may be drawing to a close. Not by choice, and not in response to the nerfs that may or may not have been handed to us, but because Sony is unable to be of an assistance to get me back to playing. Since KoS came out, I have been unable to play in any of the new zones, moving around the old zones with the ease of the good days. Sony's response, we believe your ip is blocked from us, somewhere in some airforce base in Texas, have them go change their firewalls.Oh hey, general, could you please change your firewalls so I can play EQ2, pretty please?Well, I went to the people and tried what they said, no response, I just had to pretend that they were trying for me. I get a friend to check my computer, and guess what he finds. All the proper information hasnt been downloaded to my computer, but its the IPs fault. So, he attempts to jump start the dowload for me, and I still dont get all the information downloaded this time. So, today, I log into game, and tell my guild, hey, im going to completely reinstall the game.About an hour goes by, I get it done between that and everything else I am doing, and I go to the launchpad to start the game. Update could not be initialized. I cant even get into the game at ALL now. I call up sony, the response, well, do you konw if you have all those ports open up yet? umm, no, I dont know, but why was I able to get into the game an hour ago and not now?Well, we change ports around for our safetly.Sooo, I have been able to get into the game for a year and a half, and all of a sudden, I cant get into the game at all, after not being on for an hour, because Sony all of a sudden changed ports to one that was blocked for me? Yeah, and they say there is NOTHING they could do for me. It was all my fault I guess, yet somehow every other game I have ever tried has worked for me. So, I am on the verge of giving up. I do not know if I just dont know enough about computers, if this poor ranger meathead is getting the end around, but I do not know what else to try.So, sadly, this may be one of my last posts, unless I can somehow get this resolved, I have no choice but to take the 50 dollars I have spent on this game since KoS came out, and bite the bullet. I am sorry for any typos or grammer errors, didnt have time to proofread, I have to go stand watch haha. Any other info you can provide, or just a nice goodbye, would be nice, if it is my last, I will miss the community, and with some small hopes, I pray to see you all in game.Good hunting, and may your arrows always fly straight.

Message Edited by Fireshadow on 03-07-200609:21 PM

That sucks Shadowsflame.

I wish they could figure that out for you, the worst is when you want to keep playing, you should be able to keep playing, and something goes wrong that the alpha geeks at sony cant figure out. Not that they are always going to be able to figure a problem out, but it would be nice in this instance.

Keep yourself safe. Good Luck in all that you do bro.

Saihung

P.S. I hope to see you back someday if it is figured out.

Don't feel too bad. Thats been the Sony traditional answer for years. "Its your connection, not ours. Call your ISP."
