New changes to rangers on Test

<div> Ok, sorry I haven't posted till now, but I was really waiting to see if a mistake occoured first. I haven't heard anything so far though and when asked directly our QA either missed the question or something, I dunno maybe he was busy. But I'll keep tryin to find out.</div><div>Cheap Shot has been taken out. It isn't in my book or an Assassin friend of mine. It was blacked out on the hotbar like it was refreshing, but never did. And when I dropped it and tried to replace it from my book it is gone. Yes, I've /bugged it. I just hope it was an oversight. This hits us hard, but it really seems to have screwed the assassins.</div><div> </div><div> Now the good news.  The new changes are great. We are doing significantly more damage now at range and in melee. I immediately noticed the diference. After my initial pull I'll hit Snaring Shot then Amazing Shot, then use Point Blank to stun, drop back a few steps and use devitalizing  arrow  and then precise shot. If there is anything left I mop em up with my now nice melee attacks.</div><div>Big change so far, I rarely use Triple arrow unless it is on a stationary mob that I know I can get another shot in. It just doesn't seem to hit very often.</div><div> Lunging Blade is nice now that it has a 4 sec root, but it always seems to drop after the first hit. I just use it for getting distance so I can shoot em more. Point Blank Shot seems to work better.</div><div> </div><div>Hopefully Cheap Shot going missing is an accident, cause it really threw a kink in how I play not having it. I hope we get it back.</div><div> </div><div>Summary  -  The changes are very nice. I nearly always solo due to family and some serious lag issues, so these changes really helped me out. If we get Cheap Shot back I'll really be happy. really really? yep, really really.</div><div> </div><div>On a side note, whose brilliant idea was it to make purple armor?? All my toon needs now is assless chaps and a mohawk and I could pass for a road warrior... <div></div><p>Thank you Crux72 for your helpful information. I have been hopeful that the Dev team would put togather the right package to put Rangers back on the DPS map. Now from your post I see that our ability to solo will be much better, but how will the changes help us in group play or in raids? The need to do damage and great amounts of damage is what we need to be able to contribute in group/raid situations. Snare, root and knockdown just doesn't seem like they are very helpful against epic raid targets.  I will wait patiently for the final results and will do my best to bring all I have been given to the table. Only time will tell if it is enough to keep Rangers a viable group/raid member :smileyhappy:</p>
