Grizzlefazzle's is much better. Damage rating on ebony is only 59, and the stats arent anything to gawk over (70 hp/power, forget the str/agi amounts). For me the Grizzlefazzle proc is 215-400 heat dmg. Also has the 20 str, the +5 range modifier, and 80 hp/power for stats. With this bow on auto with focus and instinct running (raid buffed) i was seeing 1-2k hits.

Could be wrong, but i think the point of t7 rares now being treasured is that they arent legendary quality... since ebony is usable at 62 and griz 65, while griz is legendary and ebony treasured... ill say griz is gonna be way betta. proc prolly i little lower, and its fire i believe, but procs are no longer something to base your gear off of..I assume there is a better bow out there than griz, but its prolly fabled and raid guild only type loot...

Anyone higher up there lemme know if im wrong on these eh?

Aye, Im about to get the reward from Grizzfazzle's Errands quest and really want to know if there's anything better than the Grizzfazzle's bow? Because if there is, then Im gonna choose the dualwield weap and go for a higher/better bow than Grizzfazzle's Bow.

Now, highend players, post if you know anything

You can be sure that there will be a better bow out there, but I would still go with Grizzlefazzle's. After all, there's also bound to be better dw than Grizzle's, and in greater numbers to be sure. This expansion seems very well itemized from what I've seen, so I would recommend going with what is best for you now (the bow), and upgrade later if it comes along.

For non-high end raiders I'd say Grizzfazle is the best T7 bow. For raiding folks, the winds speak of 2 bows that are better than Grizzfazle, but both are very high end raid drops so you won't see many folks with them, at least for awhile.

grizzlefazzles is nicei also carry around the 9s delay bow from the hallmark claymore questline as backup. 70 damage rating and procs like a mother on autoattack, great for landing debuffs off the bat if necessary.can basically skip rare crafted in this expansion which is wonderful after carrying ironwood for 15 levels.

The other day I saw an oddity - a shortbow that said "two-handed ranged" under the type description. The ranger wielding it said it wasn't equipped in his Ranged slot, rather his melee weapon slots. The specs on it didn't look all that interesting, but he said he's seeing more damage with this than with his previous longbow - which was likely imbued ironwood. Anyone else seen bows with "two-handed ranged" in the description?

You sure that wasn't the bee pollen pouch or something Kaeros (bixies in TT). I have one. It is a 2h item 'melee' item and as near as I can tell it helps w/ range DPS...

The pollen pouch equiping in the Melee slots was a bug. I imagine a bow doing the same is also a bug. There was a Dev responce saying they're are fixing the pollen pouch to equip in the ranged slot like it should.
Message Edited by jwmaynar on 03-10-200607:10 AM

I have one and havent done a lot of testing with it, just sort of played with it once. This is a point blank bow. It is used for melee. I am not certain if it can be used to perform ranged CAs but Ive been thinking about unequipping my regular bow and trying it out. When I used it I could perform my regular melee CAs with it but when I switched to ranged CAs the graphic changed to show my longbow again. Since my melee weapons have pretty close to the same damage rating as this does and they are duel weild and it is two handed, it didnt seem like a very good option. It is nice if you want to walk around showing a bow on your back instead of daggers on your side in town. =)

Jack Silver

66 Ranger

70 Slacker

Lucan D'Lere

That's kinda cool. I've actually been starting to 'collect' items that look good even if they are junk just to wear around town or whatever, LOL...
