<div>Hi, if we try to forget poisons from the dps equation, what would we like to see being done to make our damage better. I think even the devs acknowledge they went a little bit over, but that's just because they didn't know how much of our damage comes from procs. I for one would like to see autoattack faster, if they want to up autoattack damage it has to be faster, bow's should be 3,5 speed at max with the damage the longbows now do. That would make arrows mean abit more, using high quality arrows would make alot more damage difference with faster autoattack. After this a slight fine tune to our combat art damage and we're back on tracks? I'm only level 41, but i haven't had any troubles soloing even con normal solo mob, no arrows. Heck i can even only melee it to death. Try not to rant or flame much and post your ideas please.</div>

<div></div>I recognize that my bow attacks are now after the LU20 were parryed much more often. We all have 6-8 Levels more bow skill than we are in adventuring level.I am a level 59 Ranger and my bow skill is 65,6. This should mean, that a lvl 61 mob is 4 level under my attack skill. Why can it parry my shot so much?My other skills in mellee are also lvl 65,6. They hit much better but there should be no difference. So i think they nerfed the bow skills too to get the poison procs do less damage.Yesterday was the first time when my poison went off because the timer of 12 huors was reached and there were 10 procs left.Sometimes i must shot arrows 8 times to have a proc, that is 12,5% and not 25%I think there was made somethimg wrong when they fixed the Proc-bug.<p>Message Edited by sAs-Bartleby on <span class="date_text">02-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:01 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><p>Someone should test autoattack proccing on a duel or something, just plain autoattack and how it procs, to see if the 25% in poisons description stands true. Also i don't think adding ranged skill adds straight a level/5 points, think it's the same with warlocks spell seal of ebon thought. It adds alot of spell skills, but it doesn't mean straight up levels for each 5 points. It's suppose to help in hitting higher con mobs, not sure if it works that way tho.</p><p>edit:</p><p>found this:</p><div><font color="#ff0000">Skill buffs don't work the way they did before LU13. Pre-combat changes, a skill boost of +5 essentially made you a level higher when it came to using that skill. This caused all kinds of things to become broken, especially considering the way buffs could be stacked.</font></div><div><font color="#ff0000"></font> </div><div><font color="#ff0000">Now, skill buffs are just that: a buff to your skill's effectiveness. They don't, however, allow you to roll the dice as if you were higher level than you really are.</font></div><div><font color="#ff0000"></font> </div><div><font color="#ff0000">In other words, you're not hitting as if you're a 57.8 warlock; you're hitting as a 53 warlock with buffs. That's definitely better than not having the buffs, but keep in mind that their effectiveness scales based on the con of your opponent. The buffs will matter less against oranges and reds, and will make a considerable difference against opponents below your level.</font></div><div><font color="#ff0000"></font> </div><div><font color="#ff0000">This same reasoning applies to melee skill buffs as well.</font></div><p><font color="#ff0000">===========================Steve Danuser, a.k.a. <div></div><div>Ther are different ways how we could climb the dd-ladder a little bit higher.</div><div> </div><div>One is to grant the summoned arrows the same stats as, a normal arrow, so that they can do full dam of the bow. I simply do not have the money to buy the craftet arrows, even if they are not legendary.</div><div> </div><div>Rise the damage of the spells like Tripple-Arrow. And now that we have to fight down our enemies most time in close combat, reconsider the small amount of damage, that our cc-spells deal. Augment the damage, that poison inflicts when they prog.</div><div> </div><div>The damage-buffs maybe last more than only 20 or 30 seconds.</div><div> </div><div>Please give us 2-3 usefull groupbuffs, i am lvl 58 ranger and still have 3 of 5 cons-points free and a groupspeed that only grants 16% speed out of combat.</div><div> </div><div>As a "RANGER" we have to keep distance for the use of our ranged skills, so a root would be nice.</div><div> </div><div>If SOE does not want the Ranger to be a real DD, create for him an other usefull path to go. The ranger is a hunter, so grant him some hunter-abilities. Give him 2-3 more trap-skills to use, which debuffs mobs. Or why not a decoy (Köder), that attract a mob and will direct his attention out of a group-encounter for some time.</div><div> </div><div>Edith: I forgot, that we have some friends: our pets. I do not want to be a summoner or a necro, but they also could assist us in our encounters.</div><div> </div><div>Greetings</div><div>suba</div><p>Message Edited by subaridu on <span class="date_text">02-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:37 PM</span></p>

Easiest thing I can see is to make the parry/riposte directional. That would help Rangers a LOT.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Riposte is only frontal</p><p> </p>
