55 Ranger here. So far Ive been using mostly Adestes with a debuff. As everyone else has pointed out it sure isnt working like it used to. Now in my pick up groups at best Im lower tier 1 below casters or upper tier 2 with monks and bruisers. I wonder if anyone has tried different poisen set ups that work better? I have an imbued ironwood longbow, has anyone tried a shortbow? In theory this should work better since faster time means higher chance to proc.Buaf 55 Ranger Befallen

I've been using both hight DD/low DOT and low DD/high DOT and don't notice much of a difference in over all DPS. I think this stems from the fact that I now proc so infrequently that many of the procs come at the end of an encounter rather than at the beginning. Because of this, I'm using my high DD when not raiding. During raids, I use the high DOT poisons because the encounters are usually much longer.

Also, faster weapons proc less often than slower weapons as a rule. This no longer affects CAs so I don't think it matters too much either way. I know that if I used a short bow, I'd never be able to keep myself in arrows. Heck, I have backup quiver adept3 and can barely keep myself in arrows using the long bow. I just can't imagine how many arrows I'd go through shooting them twice as fast.

I do use the poison debuff exclusively now to get the most out of the poison procs.

Adeste's is the high dd damage poison... stick with that until raids.
