<div></div><div></div><div><p>I think I get it finally,</p><p> </p><p>With the bugs in beta where you could have every possible skill at adept 4 lvl … and lvl 70 … and bows like grizzfazzle bow (DR 86.2 and a proc for 205 – 380) 6 sec. AA that have reduced timers on CA refresh … procs still based on bow delay… AA that increases Damage on CA<span> </span>and tons of stats buffs … insane high if not caped out on str and agi… little to no power use….</p><p> </p><p>Hell now toss in a player that knows what the heck he is doing with a ranger… poisons up … triple CA would proc/poison/ quick shot<span> </span>on every shot .. and then quick shot would have chance to proc and poison also… hell you could see 10 to 15 strikes on one CA…for all at 380 plus …besides we go thru a charge of poison every 5 fights… I think this is how they got 4k dps… it would truly be possible…</p><p> </p><p>Ok fine .. I finally believe that they did have those numbers…. But that makes me even more mad… that they had so little insight to there coding.. and future game development to allow a class develop in such a way it has to be scraped and fundamentally redone (on code side) …</p><p> </p><p>Ok now that they have ripped out the guts on us… they have to figure out how to put the power back into the ranger… UNLESS they are just going to wait for us to lvl thru this and where most of the encounters are green with this content ie.. most of us are lvl 67 to 70.<span> </span>to say see we told you where fine.. you just had to get the lvls to compete with the other classes in this new content.. you just needed new armor and poisons and equipment to be truly functional … which maybe true…. Fair?? <div></div>I also have a sneaking suspuicion that Crits were based off procs too. Meaning that Rangers were procing crits like crazy too.

<div>The difference in playin ability rangers, and the fact that u had to utilize them well to do such high dmg is what makes me think they will make us like swashies and forget abouts us. Not at all what i or anyone else i think wants, but we gonna get utility to make up for lost dps... I just dont have faith that they can get the coding right.</div>

<div></div><div><p>That is hard to believe, by SOE own stated vision there are 2 melee scouts for each teir of DPS .. one evil one good…. Tier 3… lowest dps most utility…. Tier 2 average dps average utility … tier 1 high dps low utility…</p><p> </p><p>Right now there is 3 in tier 3 … 2 in tier 2 … and 1 in tier one….</p><p> </p><p>Problem is rangers have the lowest dps and the lowest utility out of all scouts.. (bloody hell I know there is exceptions to the rule.. but no one is in Tier 1 any more… some of the best rangers may be tier 2)…</p><p> </p><p>So unless this vision of mirrored good vs evil counter parts vision is just scraped.. They have to do a much better job at there coding … and give us power in our bows again..</p><p> </p><p>It thank god I was already lvl 60 when this stuff happened… I hate to have go there with this code in place… I would not have made it I do not think… And yes I played rangers the whole time EQ1 and EQ2 has been out.. I am not Johnny come lately ranger..</p><p></p><hr></div></blockquote><p>Unfortunately I am oneof those who has to go through SS with the new code :smileysad:</p><p>at lvl 46 I went to SS to work on coin faction quests and proceeded to get my woodelf ranger bootie handed to me multipul times on a blue down arrow group of 3 "corsairs." I gave up and switched to a new toon I had made :smileysad: to frustrated to continue</p><p>This was also the day a plate digger parried my shadowed blade while I was stealthed and behind it and it was stunned.</p><p><sigh></p>

I've said it before and i'll say it again. If we are at the level of damage we need to be, equal to our other t1 counterparts then why, WHY are we doing less damage than wizards and HAVING TO PAY FOR POISONS just to remotely keep up? I don't know if Sony thinks this is fair. They get group utility and damage, while we get armor and damage. The difference between the two is that we have to pay for ours now. Wizards have been saying they'd LOVE to have poisons or something similiar to be up to where our damage was PRE-lu20. Guess what, we're not at that level anymore, yet still having to pay for it. I don't view it as fair under any balance issue. <div></div>
