View Full Version : Why proc rate had to be changed ( does not mean I like the new system)

<div></div><div>Got my hand on a 9 second delay long bow in KoS yesterday....</div><div>Those that understand the old proc system will know what it means, for the others here it is :</div><div> </div><div>Proc rate for poison and quick shot on rangeds CA would have been with this bow :</div><div> </div><div>Quick Shot : 90%</div><div>Poison : 75%.</div><div> </div><div>This means that over 50% of the time arrows would have triggered 1 quick shot and 2 poison procs ( because poison does proc of quick shot...).</div><div> </div><div>Add max poison/proc critical AA to that and I can see 6-7k damage triple shots and stream of arrows doing 2k dps for 30 seconds ( still coming short of the 4k mark Blackguaard mentionned but slowly getting closer <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />).</div><div> </div><div>As a side discussion I would have prefered SOE to change procs on CA to have a proc rate equal to the proc rate of the weapon instead of normalizing it to the CA casting time.</div><div> </div><div>That would have divided our proc rate by 2 instead of by 4 and still would have made us pretty effective...</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>PS : This new bow is most likely going to force me to start buying some arrows or craft some because a straight shoot with it with adamantium arrow  can get to 1500 damage at least ( and no clue if it can't get higher, the range was like 60-532, 70 damage rating, I can't wait to get my hand on Grizzlebane bow and its 80 damage rating...)</div><div> </div><p>Message Edited by Ail on <span class="date_text">02-27-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:03 AM</span></p>
