Pull mobs with various archery CA but  leave out debilitating arrow, mob closes in, fire off Point BlanK Shot and BOOM they are on their bums ! stunned, I step back a few and fire of debilitating arrow and then finish them off. Works as best as we could ever hope for, like the upgrade to cheap shot we have always wanted, and at adept 1 the combo of it plus debilataing arrow really debuffs them so that finishing them off melee is alot quicker and less tedious .</div><div> </div><div>Yeah overall the nerfs hit and this is not a game saver or anything, but cool enuff I invis'd and ran here to post a little good news !</div><div> </div><div>Chin up !</div><div> </div><div>Ranger forever</div><div> </div><div>Edit : I have been able to stun with this and back up and get off 2 archery CA's  or Debil Arrow + a normal shot that goes with it, but was never quick enuff to stealth and backstab.</div><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by Dyrks on <span class="date_text">02-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:21 PM</span></p>

<div></div>Mah goodness that sounds lovely... but it definately throws a wrench in how i thought aa's worked in game... Did u say that its an adept 1 ability? I thought u hadda spend aa points in order to upgrade aa spells? Where am i gone wrong here? I'm way too high of a character to not know this stuffs!!! Stupid Stylee!

That is good to hear, I am definitely going to get that skill then, that would be a great boost for soloing/dueling if it works that well. Too bad I spent 5 points along another path first.Merkades, 61st Ranger.Siege, Najena.

It is nice, but Cheap Shot still has some advantages.PBS has a casting time (1.0 seconds?), and can be interrupted.  Against no-arrow or worse, it doesn't last quite as long as Cheap Shot.  And for some reason, I have a lot more trouble getting behind a mob for a stealth-stab combo with PBS than with Cheap Shot; somehow I often get the message that I must be in stealth.Still, it certainly is useful.  Nice to have something to use on up-arrows.  And it's better to have two stuns than one.<div></div>

Two things i don't like about it.1:  You can't use it while moving, it is interruptable if you move like any other bow CA despite the fact that ...2:  it turns on auto-melee instead of auto-ranged. Those are the only two issues, otherwise, its quite nice.<div></div>

Its probably best used for adding a bit a distance (back peddle) and firing your bow CAs ( Precise shot, Triple Fire ). At least thats how I use it. Still use CS for flanking stealth attacks though.</p><p> </p><p>Nesse63  (64 after tonight) Ranger</p><p>Oasis</p><p> </p>

For what is it worth, the Archer AA line is pretty solid and probably the best part of the expansion for us.  Point Blank and Fitness are awesome for soloing, plus Point Blank is useable in grouping.  At first I though Fitness was a joke but after actually using it, it helped a lot.  The 100% runspeed bug in beta was awesome too, lol.  You cannot complain about crits and a 35% reduction in cast times?  Yes, please.  Mix that with one of the other lines ( melee or poison ) and you'll see a decent increase in your over all ability.<div></div>

<div></div>I have a question about AA costs.  Do they scale as you go up in levels, ie. 1, 2, 4, 8 points per level or just a straight 1pt cost per level?

AA costs do NOT scale as you go up in levels, they cost a straight 1 Achievement point per level.Pleas see my post on Ranger Acheivement Abilities here:http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=24765Hope this helps,<div></div>

<div></div>aye db is right... they dont scale, but the last ability on each line costs 8 points and cannot be upgraded past 1.
