Has anyone heard any word on the status of the devs' ranger testing? I've been looking around for some word but I haven't seen anything was wondering if anyone else has.

It's rather obvious from what they've done to us, that they don't test. Think their gonna start now? Been a Ranger since Nov 21st of 2004 and they take my game away from me. I had no problem with them lowering DPS some, but why did they have to break us? Why did they sell us an expansion that is barely playable due to lag? Why talk about the great "look" of their expansion when most of us have to play it on extreme performance setting just to play now? Why did I have to fall in love with this game??? Thanks SOE, you've shown that your either incompetent or just don't care....

Blackard is actually looking into it, and if anyone is gonna get somethin done about it i would say that its gonna be him... He self admittedly doesn play a ranger tho, so it will take him some time to get a grasp of the class...

If what your worried is whether its being looked into properly, yes it is.

If your worried whether SOE will listen to those looking into it properly, i cant say. This is the party that i personally belong to.

my advice? harvest raws and rares, make some cash, get your gear set for when we are viable again, get some collections and aa done. I find that i cant bear stayin even close to the amount of time i used to grinding... This is usually what i end up doin, then gettin mad that rangers are so slow and get rooted/slowed so easily...

Yes. I knew Blackguard was looking into it. That's what I was asking about. He said that he was looking into it and of course the mechanics team was looking into it. That was tuesday though so I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about the progress of that research.

aha i c... nah havent heard anything.

HOWEVER... starting to take this nerf as a possible blessing in disguise. I was after all, playin this game WAAAAAY too much, and now that i tend to log out quicker, i have been doin other, more active things more often... I smoke less cigarrettes, prolly stress related, laugh a lot more now (prolly nerf appealing to my sick sense of humor) spend more time with the family etc... i think that we need these things everynow and then, as playin online games tend to skew our perception of the real world a touch... the knowledge that soe prolly doesnt care considering my account is still active only makes it better, as i dont feel tempted to log in every 5 mins to see if the possibly changed somthing back...

This is not a bash on anyone but me. This is simply somthin i have personally noticed in my own life...

Stylee "mo [Removed for Content]" Mc'Cutta (Nek)

I realy have things that interest me more than this game now. I realy like EQ2 because its not the easiest MMO out there... but then again I do wish it was more challenging... granted this has made it more challenging... but in the wrong way. I shouldn't have to be challenged with a broken class again... back in may of 04 when i saw the character lines i decided i would stick with my EQ1 Ranger and make a new one in EQ2.... But i can't stand this constant change. up and down rollercoaster ride that we always seem to get put on anymore.I will be watching the forums though to see if things have improved. I realy want to come back. but right now i don't have the interest in sticking it out.I love my ranger, its my only character i realy play. (I do have a lvl 10 dirge right now.)Keep up the good work Cat and Jay. I'll be waiting for your guy's words of hope.

Blackguard reminds me of an old boss I had. He was great at project management, micromanagement, and public relations. But when you asked him anything technical about the actual project he looked completely dumbfounded. You can ask him to get something done, but don't expect him to do it personally. Its most likely not his job to test at all, just to let us all know the results of his teams work. Not saying he doesn't test, just that its not high on his priority of things to do. My personal assessment mind you, and by all means not a flame. I understand the need for people who work that way, just saying this because people tend to put too much faith that he'll be our saviour. =P

I've ripped on Blackguard for awhile now and I don't honestly feel much like he is going to be our saviour, but he does deserve some slack at least from me. If he or his coherts are doing the testing, awesome and I hope they are seeing what we are with the same measure of concern. In the end, I'd have to say Blackguard isn't all that bad a guy and he is a good community rep for the most part just annoying and agrivating when a dev is like huh? what? in the middle of an all out cataclism....ok it wasn't a cataclism but close lol.
