View Full Version : A Simple Request to our non ranger guests..

I see alot of people from other classes in here lately and posting on alot of threads. Thats not a bad thing at all. Whats annoying though is a number of people aredoing one of two things. They come here with a "serves you right" kind of attitude and decide its ok to kick us while we are down. Thanks for your "support" but you neednt bother. Most people playing Rangers already feel down enough about it and dont need your help feeling worse. The other thing that bothers me more is the ones who insist on posting telling us how we arent broken, and they have a friend who is a ranger who does just find. They post disputing parses and generally not understanding the mechanics behind the Ranger class. They dont understand, or know about the subtlties. They dont know the skills. They havent played a ranger, or if hey have it was a while ago or only to a low level. Please guys, do us a favor and educate yourself before telling us we are wrong and whiners. Learn what our skills do, and how they are used. Learn our limitations and what we do well. Play a Ranger and THEN come tell us how it is, should be or will be. If you havent played a Ranger then how can you comment on one?I've played most classes, I have 10 live toons and 10 Test toons. Live toons are generally 20-60, though this week i deleted a 26 Warlock and 23 Wizard to start a PvP toon and a Fury. I dont consider myself an expert, but before i go typing up a whole bunch of junk telling someone they are wrong, I make sure i know the facts and have <u><b>FIRST HAND</b></u> experience with it, not just something I read or over heard. We all pay to play and its certainly not an enjoyable experience having the rug pulled out from under you over night. Its even less enjoyable watching other classes tell us we deserved it and enjoying it.<div></div>
<div></div><div>Admirable sentiment, and I wish ppl would actually show some consideration and adhere to the request. But you gotta remember that many ppl out there, especially those in 'competing' DPS classes, have been waiting for this day, and they greet it with joy and celebration. They hated that we were so overpowered for some reason (tho I fail to see how that hurt their classes), and now that we got kicked in the [Removed for Content], they're gonna throw stones while we're down.</div><div> </div><div>You know that scene in Narnia where Aslan submits to the White Witch at the Stone Table, and all her little cronies lay into him once he's bound and tied? We rangers are Aslan, and the drive-by flamers are those cowardly, diminutive lackeys who wouldn't dare face him until he was powerless.</div><div> </div><div>But on the flip side, kudos to those non-rangers who have come here to offer support or just useful information. We're not looking for unmitigated sympathy, but crusing through here to gloat and insult us says <em>way</em> more about your own cowardice than it does about any game or class.</div>

<div>"They hated that we were so overpowered for some reason (tho I fail to see how that hurt their classes), and now that we got kicked in the [Removed for Content], they're gonna throw stones while we're down."</div><div> </div><div>Because its easier to pull someone down rather that pulling yourself up.</div><div> </div><div>PS: One of these days I'll learn how to quote a message :smileywink:</div>

Well put, they call us whiners, yet is was their whining that got us to be like this. sighI was so happy for the ranger class in PvE, then PvP began and every single glory hunter l33t speak idiot started playing one and the whole world began to whine. It was bad enough that 90% of the population (exageration) played rangers but all the whiners just destroyed our class in a day. It's funny how the dev's respond to a nerf so fast yet when we point out it's unfair how far they went it takes 200 threads and still they act like we don't exist. It's truly sad.<div></div>

<div></div>a common problem is that any sort of comment often comes off as being vino. I know many people who don't feel comfortable making posts because all they see are useless flames.

I imagine it was in development & internal testing long before we heard about it. But that it showed up all of a sudden one day makes it seem like it came out of left field...The same holds true for the fixes they have in store for us. I'm sure they're already in the works (hope so anyway <span>:smileyindifferent:</span>), but it'll take them a while to get finished/tested and show up in the patch notes. I just hope "Fix Rangers" to do item gets added in near the top of the list of things to do, and we don't have to start from the back of the line.A great quote I saw over in NGD:"Effecting positive change requires more than simply antagonizing the establishment."</span><div></div>

Take away his crack pipe and send him to rehab...... /sarcasm + dramatization Sorry its all I can do right now.

Tested to see if the procs actually stoped proc'ing? If they hadn't I, along with every other ranger, would be 65+ by now and we wouldn't have had to group one second to get there. Now here's to fixing us and getting us where we need to be. NOW!</span></blockquote></span><div></div>

<div></div><p>Methinks arrow is right on the money with the rangers bein 65 already.... areas like sanctum, getta guard, enchanter, fury and 3 rangers prepatch, could pull the whole zone down on ur heads and clear em off in seconds...Considering the merges, this woulda been no good.... i HOPE thats whats goin on</p><p>but who we kiddin?</p>
