I am just as frustrated as everyone else with all the changes that have happend to our class. I dont mind them dropping our damage some but I believe many of us agree that they went slightly too far. How can we make suggestions that will be HEARD by someone who can do something about it?

Well, we know they're watching this forum at least. Unfortunately, voicing any type of problem right now inevitably seems to result in a rabid infestation of forum trolls. It's got to be hard to wade through all that [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].

There is one simple way to get Sony to listen to you...Let them know that you are cancelling your account (via these messageboards if you like), and then actually cancel it.Sony is a business. A very large business. They exist to make money, and to only make money. Take away a part of their income, and no matter how small it is, they will listen.Personally, I have no problems with the ranger nerf. We were over-powered, and now Sony has put us back where we belong.

I was gonna post something constructive...but after hearing all the "Rangers needed to be nerfed" "We're back where we belong" (From the ranger alt crew) I'm just too bitter.

Maybe I'll be constructive when I'm in a better mood. (After I solo a few more group heroics above my level on my alt)

Yea i am sick of the "we are where we are supposed to be" argument as well. I agree we needed to come down some but this is crazy. My real issue is poison. I have legendary poison and vs poison debuff..they hardly proc now. I grouped with some guild mates who are always kidding me about how much damage i do but they were shocked as to how bad they nerfed us. The peeps who say we are at the level we are supposed to be at are just plain silly. my wife has a swashy and it was kickin my azz.

After working in the corporate world for many years, the biggest thing I have learned is that people are nothing but a piece of paper with numbers on it. The only way to draw attention is to change the numbers! If the numbers go down, then changes will be made! Sadly enough, in this situation the only way to make numbers go down is for people to cancel their account. That's the only way SOE will listen.

Good Luck, I don't want to leave this game either! There is no way I'm playing my ranger until hes fixed and there is no way I'm going to spend time making an alt with the chance of it getting destroyed in the future!

My advice is to post parses of as many situations as possible - solo, group, raid from as many level ranges as we possible can and compared to as many other classes as we can. if there is a problem hard data will tell us. i plan on parsing for most of the weekend and then posting my results.
bongo

I agree. I was grouped with guildies from about 3:30pm till just now at 1:44am. I parsed probably in the neighborhood of 1000 encounters. As i'm exhausted and about to fall over on my KB so there's NO WAY I can sift through all that data tonight But i'll be creating some sort of spreadsheet showing totals and averages of those encounters. I'll include group details and general rundowns of group members with me as well as average lvls of mobs we were fighting. Granted this will be GROUP encounters only in this batch but i hope to have another set for solo (eventually) and as we're a hardcore raid guild hopefully raid parses (probably once we're all at 70 in two weeks or so) in the not too distant future. In my eyes if you can't spot a trend in 1000 encounters you probably won't spot it. As you can imagine the data of so many parses is enormous so what I post here will be very general but I will try to make certain ALL complete and original data remains if there is someone out there that would care to verify my genrealities or findings. . . I hope, given the time this undertaking will require, that it will be of some use to someone.

BTW i also use ACT as it provides VERY detailed output on the combat.

Thank you Bithnar for your input on how to merge the ACT encounters to 1. I'm doing that now although my lil hampsters that run in their wheels inside my computer are NOT happy and threatening to go on strike as they're being over worked. Hopefully I will finish processing at some point and I'll be able to post the results

The long awaited results:You all ready for this. . . .!st the group. . . We consisted of (at start of this xp grind session) 1 zerc 1 necro 1 warlock 1 me (ranger) 1 defiler 1 templar (and 1 necro's pet). Since we're the type of guild we are NONE of ANY of our CA's are under Adept 3. Approximately 45% of the groups combined CAs are Masters. We are in predominately Fabled gear with about 30-40% legendary (either rare crafted or otherwise). I was using poisons the entire fight and went through 7 CHARGES. (previously I would have in this period of time burned through probably more than 10 VIALS). We were fighting both Solo and grouped mobs about equally and ranged from 64^ to 66^^^ throughout the evening. Here's the Results after merging the encounters. The durations of which BTW lasterd 5 hours 4 mins and (around) 30 seconds. . . We were together the entire time and there were a few quick bios and snack runs and what not throughout the night by each of us Warlock's Numbers: Total DMG 3942213 kills 207 DPS 216.92 EXT DPS 215.72 Misses 3 Swings 5348Zerker's Numbers: Total DMG 3618064 kills 173 DPS 198.03 EXT DPS 197.93 Misses 3481 Swings 33715Ranger's Numbers Total DMG 3142820 Kills 143 DPS 172.05 EXT DPS 171.97 Misses 2852 Swings 14099Necro's Pet NumbersTotal DMG2406780 Kills 120 DPS 133.97 EXT DPS 131.70 Misses 4168 Swings 18123Necro's Numbers Total DMG 2194094 Kills 120 DPS 120.40 Ext DPS 120.40 Misses 17 Swings 6203 (he was mostly debuffing handing hearts and heals)Templar's Numbers Total DMG 1924366 Kills 89 DPS 115.22 EXT DPS 105.30 Misses 1275 Swings 9429 (his duration was 4 hours 38 mins and 22 seconds)Defiler's Numbers Total DMG 379839 Kills 14 DPS 20.90 EXT DPS 20.78 Misses 845 Swings 4135Now let's look at where we stand if you combine the nero and his pet (as those numbers should be combined to provide accurate DPS standings for me within this group.DMG dealers in order during this 5 (and a few mins change) hour grind session#1 was Necro with 253.02 (him and pet combined) DPS#2 was Warlock with 216.92 DPS#3 was Zerker with 198.03 DPS#4 was Ranger with 172.05 DPS#5 wasTemp with 115.22 DPS#6 was Defiler with 20.90 DPSNow Wizzies, War, Rangers, Sins are suposed to (by devs admissions) be teir one. . .THIS IS A TON OF DATA. . . .A TON OF REAL LIVE SERVER TESTED DATA. . . can't argue the facts. I will keep all this data available for the inevitable person who posts and calls me a liar or not including everything or whatever they care to say about me. This right here is the facts. . . pure and simple numbers.

Hmm forgot to include lvl of groupmates at the begining was lvl 60. . . .sorry I was thinking it just didn't make it from brain to fingers to post

Well, my contribution to getting our voices heard (small though it is) is to finally fold my hand & quit. If it helps boost the stats of people leaving & makes them wake up to the need for changes and a serious shake up in customer service then hopefully it will be of some use to others!

I've thought about hanging on in there as I stuck with the game after the rest of my friends left, I was even thinking of going for the new expansion - but every time the game gets majorly messed up I rather resent the fact that I am slightly trapped by the investment I've already made in terms of time & money.

I like soloing, I like crafting. Soloing ability is generally last in the queue when it comes to working on fixes, because the game is heavily biaised towards grouping. As for crafting - a dev has recently stated that crafted gear shouldn't be better than drops (so - er, why have crafters?) Therefore, with my main character unable to solo properly for what could be several months - and with the outlook for crafters as a whole not good, the balance has now shifted in favour of leaving. I can already hear the childish chants of 'well, you shouldn't be soloing in a multi-player game' - but then people who are blinkered like that are one of the reasons I've solo'd anyway!

It's a shame to leave, I've enjoyed it - but I just can't accept that it is reasonable business practice to charge the full price for a broken product. As a player on a European server, my product is broken with a greater than normal degree of frequency! I can't think of any other service where I would put up with a faulty product or poor customer service without voting with my feet. It's a beautiful world, there are some very clever touches, there are a few employees who try and make a difference but it's really not enough, at least, not for me!

I wish all my fellow Rangers the best of luck with getting the fixes they need to make their characters Rangers again!

Bye,

Kitcaboodle

Great info guys. I think we need to keep this going with data and hope that SOE Devs take a look at it. To the rangers leaving the game I wish you luck and hope you are able to come back and find your rangers in a better shape then they are now.

Soloers in particular are taking it the hardest right now, though we're all suffering. Be well, take care, and hold your head high. Best of luck!
