After reading post after post of all this bad news, both on my (new) server boards, and the ranger boards, I'm ready for some GOOD NEWS... Does anyone have any? Because honestly, I'm sick of reading nothing but [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] post after [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] post. I thought long and hard about deleting my account, but, after ALLOT of ppl getting upset with me over saying I was going to, I have decided to stay. Albiet that I have semi-retired my beloved Taubin for now. But, can someone PLEASE give me even just a little bit of good news to make it all seem worth while? /beg.... Anything?

I can picture a lot of new rangers doing that though. I know I won't be doing that. Besides, I heard all your skills become app1 and you lose any skill upgrades you had before.

I'm kinda psyched about the new runspeed acheivements, personally. I'm sure they won't be a *big* deal, but I've always preferred the notion of getting around on foot, rather than needing a horse. (Not that they come too close to horse speeds, of course.) And hey - they're useable in combat, so maybe that will help balance out the solo difficulties that we're likely to have soon.(I just hope that I can actually earn AAs at a satisfying rate, while still keeping my combat xp disabled, so I can stay close in level to my friends.)

I actually can't wait till we see a lot of the folks betray and become assassins. It will cut the FoTM Ranger's from the rest of us and we'll have actual numbers on the true rangers again.

As for the new server, it's not completely bad. yeah, the double xp weekend in PoF SUCKED with 160 people in the zone, if not more, and no second instances of it, but some of the guilds aren't too bad. Had the usual a**hats at the Exenka fight Friday night that were trying to lag us out so they could try to kill the mob but overall, there were a lot of people cheering us on and trying to get people to back up. It was my first contested mob experience on the new server and I have to say I'm impressed. The interesting thing was that we (my guild) received more people cheering us on and congratulating us that were already on Everfrost than we did folks from Grobb, our old server. New server isn't all that bad, just a few bad spots. Hopefully the instancing in the new KoS zones will be better, and there will be multiple places to get xp right off, not just 2 (ie, Sinking sands/Pillars of Flame).

The other good news, you're still on the same server I am, and neither one of us is a filthy furball.

Message Edited by Demlar on 02-20-200612:56 PM

I see the acronym everywhere.

Sorry. AA is a term many of us former EQ1 players misuse when speaking about the new EQ2 acheivements. AA, in EQ1, meant "alternate advancement". You could chose to funnel some or all of your xp to AA instead of levels. You'd earn points, with which you'd buy new abilities - stat increases, better stealth, critical hits, etc. So it's *sorta* like the new EQ2 advancement system. So generally, when people talk about AA in a EQ2 context, they probably mean Achievement levels.
