Would you give up the ability to wear anything except cloth armor to keep the DPS you have on live now?orWould you rather keep the leather and chain, and do around the same amount of damage a other tier 1.Not a flame. No point to make. I'm just curious.<div></div>

Either would be good.  What worries me is the possibility of keeping our chain, and doing the same damage as a templar.Of the two options you presented, though, I'd rather have the second, if:1. The other T1 classes were actually elevated to where they need to be (i.e., above the T2's and T3's); and2. I could still fight solo mobs effectively using archery. We are overpowered.  Getting rid of our armor wouldn't mean much of anything in solo situations because we'd still be able to kill most mobs before they got to us.  Getting rid of it in group situations wouldn't mean much, because we have good agro control tools.  (I don't know about raids.)I'm completely in favor of well-researched, well-tested tuning.  Abrupt massive game mechanics shifts right before a set-in-stone deadline, with a vague promise to "wait and see" scare me.<div></div>

Well the chain armor I think offsets the fact that almost none of our ranged CA's can be used on the move or be used when a mob is hitting on us, and our melee CA's are really low damage.  I think a good tradeoff would be to give up chain armor and have better roots. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Ultimately tho people like to throw around the armor argument.  As far as I'm concerned all armor is for is the stats unless you a tank.  So I'd go nekkid if I could get the stats that way.
