<div></div><p>Yep just hang in there.... they will figure it out and get everyone where they are supposed to be at eventually. </p><p>I find it odd, that statement, though.  It sounds like they weren't aware of how proc-dependant ranger dps is...  Heck I could have told you that, and I've never played a ranger. :p</p>

You are not the only one that is scared. They are talking about that they have been looking at the classes DPS, and will do so in the furture, but they did not look at what did the damage. So I'm wondiring if they notic any proc coming from damage shild cast by a conjour, or has that also ended up under ranger DPS.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Oh, I am not going anywhere I survived the "Kunark EQ1" Ranger mass exodus and I am sure I will survive this too. It just confuses me that there are 5 days left until the Expansion goes live with these changes and they don't seem to even have a clue as to how we as a class do our DPS. 5 days to test such sweeping changes does not give me much confidence.</p><p>I really wish someone like Scott would come on the boards and explain exactly what they are doing and how they are going about it. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

They complained for about 2 years or so that their pets were not dual weilding like the Necromancer pets were.  Sony denied it for over 2 years even though they were buried under tons of player submitted parses of pets fighting.  Finally after they test it (they had no idea how they pets where fighting and never tested it even though players complained) they decide that the players were correct and fixed the problem.  But it took over 2 years to do so and the sad part was they didnt even know how the pets were coded in the first place.</p><p>Sad, scary but true <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Hehe, it is pretty funny.. things like that quote.. or the "we dicovered a bug with the way procs work" lol, right. I honestly thought that Rangers CAs were tuned with that in mind. I know we do do too much DPS atm, but if you are doing something like PPR, Assassins are not *that* far below you, and Summoners can do very well too. AE fights are what makes the biggest disparity. Sans most procs, well we all know where we will end up.Man I hope they really screw us, then decide "oops, we had no idea it would be so bad" then raise CA base damage to compensate (as opposed to raising procs/changing proc to work again), which would have the side effect of weaning us off those [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] poisons (sorry, I hate paying to play twice).Oh well, whatever happens, I hate alts, so I am staying with my Ranger.Merkades, 60th Ranger.Siege, Najena.

<div></div>Increase the CA's... I like that.  I do like it when I shoot something and 5 or 6 different damage numbers go up, but I'll take the one hit kill with less numbers :smileytongue:

<div>The thread title says it all.  Wow!</div><div> </div><div>We all rejoiced after LU13 because we thought the dev's listened and responded.  Finally, after 9 months, we were finally fixed.  We had become useful.  But wait...  Turns out that the devs never understood where our DPS came from.  Does this mean that the fix we've been experiencing over the last 6 months was nothing more than an anomaly?  That they never intended on fixing us in the first place.  How did they fix our DPS if they did not understand where it cam from?  Answer:  They couldn't!</div><div> </div><div>This is very disturbing given that the planned LU20 changes will put us right back to our pre-LU13 DPS.  So we are basically 15 months into the game and we are still waiting to be fixed.</div><div> </div><div>The developers have apparently decided to ignore us.  I have 15 months invested in this game and I'm not quitting without a fight.  If the developers at my company knew this little about the product they produced, they'd be handed pink slips.</div><div> </div><div>I know I'm always joking around and poking fun at folks on the boards.  But, this is it.  Color me fed up.  We should not be expected to re-outfit our characters every few months to compensate for the continuous flow of combat changes.  I'm not going away.  I'm not quitting and playing another game.  I play EQ, EQ2, Planteside, and SWG and so does my wife.  SOE has made about as much money off of me as anyone.  And, I'm feeling very unappreciated right now.</div>

<div></div><p>I know it was Verant and its now Sony but I think they still have some of the same employees.  For sure they still do some of the same coding practices:  Re-Code now and find out what we did later . . .  much later.</p><p>They seem to be making the same mistakes by not listening to the player base and what the player has experience as oppose to what they think is happening without having perfomed extensive testing and then denying what the player is actually experiencing due to their changes.</p>

<div></div>Oh didn't you know, Blackguard plays a brigand, you know the ae immune, overpowered rogue class.  The only AE immune class in the game, even rangers have to contend with the larger area AE's as do casters, but not good ole brigands.  They do it all and have dps to boot, hurray for the class a dev plays.  [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].
