Raiding Rangers: Costs for Arrows / Poisons?

<div>Can a couple of Rangers that raid please break down your nightly average totals for how much you spend in poisons to maintain your DPS? How much does each vial costs you on your server and how many vials of poison do you use in an average night of raiding to maintain your DPS?</div><div> </div><div>Also how many arrows do you use in an average night of raiding and how you get all of those arrows. Do you buy all of your arrows, salvage them or does the guild makes them for you? How much do you spend on arrows a night?</div><div> </div><div>I am curious how much it really costs to raid as a Ranger in EQ2. I have primarily been in raiding guilds through out the various MMOs that I have played and I keep hearing horror stories of blowing through thousands of arrows and tons of expensive poisons a night and I am just curious how much it's going to cost me nightly to raid in EQ2 as a Ranger.</div>

<div></div><p>arrows dont cost jack, ya summon em.. and for mobs immune to slash... this is a kiddies game, they took out immunities so we dont have to buy peirce arrows.   Poisons wont be worth much soon.. so wouldnt fret the cost there either =p</p><p> </p><p>but as of right now.. raiding 5 nights a week.. i spend roughly 1.5p on poisons depending.   Mind you, if you dont buy poisons... your dps will suck and you "wont be the best dps in the game" so i dont know where they get off reducing our dps.</p><p>that was off topic but if your a ranger im sure you know what im talkin about</p>

<div></div><p>I don't really purchase arrows anymore since pierce lands on everything now, but before they changed immunities I usually bought about 60g worth of slashing arrows a week for raiding.  I raid 4 times a week and with all those nights being a good long instance raid ie Gates, Al'afaz, PPtR, Froggy I usually go through a lot of poisons.  I can easily eat 3 or 4 vials of adeste per raid which is what I usually use when raiding plus about 10 debuff poisons and while I don't usually them all the time stat debuff poisons and slow poisons.  So to calculate adeste costs me about 13g per vial on my server debuff poisons cost about 6g per vial.</p><p>4x13=52</p><p>10x6=60</p><p>Together I spend about 112g a night and before immune changes add in about 15g worth of arrow costs.</p><p>So on a rough night when I'm using everything slow/stat debuff poisons included at about 10g per on my server I could easily spend 2p a night on one raid with 0% chance of getting any loot on that raid to boot.</p><p>Now if I'm being lazy poison wise on raids which ive taken to doing since it's expensive as hell, I usually manage to spend only about 1p a night raiding and if I slum it and buy cheap cheap poisons then I can go down to about 60-75g per night of raiding.  It depends on how much dps you are willing to sacrifice and how fed up at the current night you are of having your pockets [Removed for Content].  With the new changes to procing we might get off easier with poisons lasting longer but its going to look like we will have to buy the most expensive to get to t1 dps if we can /shrug.  I just play anymore, skim across the surface cause I use to look below it and well that just makes playing not any fun.</p>

<div></div><p>now that i read your post... not just the topic.. ill give ya alittle mroe info. Arrows ya just summon and make sure ya have enough for the night of raiding..</p><p>poisons stack.. you can use 3 different types..</p><p>1 stat debuff</p><p>1 debuff/utility</p><p>1 damage</p><p>so if i use translucent touch of weakness at 4-5g per, translucent adeste disruption(legendary) at 12-17g per and trans.curse of the djinn at 4-5g per) ill usually burn about 2 of the adeste,and 4 of the other's a night of raiding.  You can do the rest of the math</p>

<div></div>Oh and that doesn't include freaking repair costs or potions for those who use them.  The only other non ranger in the raid who can rival my cost per raid is the MT and he gets his stuff for free so.

<div></div><div></div><div></div><p>I dont know how you summon enough arrows for raiding. I go through a minimum of 4k arrows in a night, usually 8k when on a good long raid.
