<div><div>Before update 19 Stream of Arrows (ranger) would keep firing at a mob even as it was hitting you.  Basically you could pull a mob and keep hitting it at point blank range as it was hitting you.  Now it stops after launching one arrow and if the mob hits you.  Anyone else having this issue?</div></div>

<div>yea first off no it doesnt have a min. range, at least it didnt before the patch and there was no update in the notes.  second, mr. post police guy...I have not posted anything like this before and was not sure what forum it went under.  I decided this was better and went back to erase my other...yes I know the rules. </div>

<div></div>Either way, we are splitting hairs here and that is not my intent or, I would assume yours.  So to get back on track.  I am not sure where to go to find out what has happend, if anything to this spell.  It cost me some pp to buy and is essentially worthless now.  I have even tried having someone root the mob while i launch stream of arrows, it launches a few arrows, breaks the root and stops working.  i can do better damage just rooting and launching triple arrow.  I would just like to know if anyone else is having this issue since it wasnt an issue before update 19.

Since this is a thread about a Ranger issue, I'm going to go ahead and move this to the Ranger Forum.  The Gameplay Discussion is a general discussion forum intended for areas of the game that don't really have a specific forum dedicated to their discussion (like rangers). <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

It was never intended to work point-blank like you used to use it.  It was incredibly overpowered that way.It is now working correctly and as intended.<div></div>

<div>seems somewhat worthless then..or at least for soloing..which is fine with me.  but it steals aggro almost everytime i use it in a group after a few hits and then i run into my original problem.  how are you guys using it? </div>

<div></div><p>1. Yes, SoA was changed with LU19. It no longer works from point-blank range. This was the original intent of the spell, so we can't really claim it was nerfed. It was simply fixed. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />2. SoA is incredibly useful in groups and I have found that it is less likely to steal aggro from MT after LU19.</p><p>If you are getting aggro from the MT, check with them on the level of their main taunts and CA's. SoA lasts 24 secs (I think) and they need the ability to counter your spell for that amount of time. I almost never steal aggro with it anymore. However, the tanks I am grouped with have most if not all of their taunts and CA's at Adept III or better. They also know to watch for my message that I am preparing to use the spell. I always use SoA in the following combo: Evasion, Improved Surveil, SoA, Evasion. I am actively reducing my threat level as much as possible before I turn that spell on.</p><p>Fredethel </p><p> </p>

Rarely do i pull aggro if a tank is taunting enough. You should at least try and tell him that your going to use Stream of Arrows so he know's to taunt enough. or if you have a pally he should be putting his amends on you.Just gotta learn when to much is, if your tank is keeping aggro every other time that you don't use Stream, but loses it with you breaking it out, you have to re-think/manage your aggro issues.Make sure you have your de-aggro spell upgraded to the best you can, (adept III is never a bad investment for this spell)</span><div></div>
