Interesting. I want to say I like those, but the lack of resists scares me. I like to duel, solo, and raid, and try as you might, you will get AE'd here and there. Though, I guess mix-n-match might be a good idea. I wonder what the legendary version is, and how many types there are. Well, regardless, it is nice to see some str/int pieces.Merkades, 60th Ranger.Siege, Najena.

Perhaps the old bug with unusable items not showing resists crept in?

From what I heard, they have a set of chain crafted armor for each sub-class (Bard, Predators, Rogues, Shamans) and this is how I see it going...

Melodic = Bard

Reverant = Shaman

Chainmail = Predator

Brigandine = Rogue

Not sure if this is true, could be a rumor being thrown around.

Hey now, I clearly stated that I like to duel, solo, and raid. And while I agree, I rarely get AE'd on raids, it does happen. Just tonight a Wizard near me pulled Adolpho off the MT and he AE'd me (unfortunately, he was not fast on getting the mob back to he MT), I lived Chilling Mist, but not by much. Solo/duel reasons should be obvious as well.And regardless, I prefer well rounded to extreme specialization. One of the things I do not like about the Ranger class in EQ2.Merkades, 60th Ranger.Siege, Najena.
Apparently, resists are being transferred over to jewellery only. Thats not a fact though, just rumour.
Message Edited by scl on 02-10-200609:57 AM

Resists on Jewelry better be fantastic then because I wont last 2 secs in a raid wearing this rubbish. High Wis and resists keeps me alive when killing casters.

Nice armour its indeed a pitty that the resists are not there but then again, it might be just a dispaly bug.Only i dont see why any scout would want to wear the brigadine version :sIn my opinion al scouts should were the melodic armor, maybe one with sta in it if you solo a lot ....The str/agi/int suits all scouts, the singers unders for their spells and the rest for the poison damge.Onaupu LynxL60 Swashbuckler/L60 TailorHeroes IncSplitpaw

Sta, Wis, Int just seems wrong for Brigandine.

Surely it should be Str, Sta, Wis ?

Str is far more useful than Int for boosting rogue damage out. And except when soloing, the only damage in should be from AEs, hence Sta+Wis to stay alive.

Anyone notice that all those chestpieces don't quite fit right for a ranger? For instance all the other pieces match the class but the Predator set, which is the chainmail? is STA WIS INT, shouldn't it be STA AGI STR ?

Maybe I am looking at it wrong...Melodic is for bard types str agi int perfect, Reverent for the Mystic and it's counterpart str wis int, Brigandine is for the rogue/swashy sta wis int ?

Really looks like to me that the rogue and predator classes got really nailed on this one unless the other pieces make up for it?

I'm just hoping that armor goes live with those stats and all the sets are flagged "all scouts." If so, I'll be singing my way into some Melodic gear. I know of 3 pieces of equipment off the top of my head that would immediately get upgraded to that armor, if not more.

/Agree with Demlar... I'd really like some variety to finally make itself available in this game. Choices would be wonderful! Right now, everything is so linear - you get what you can afford, or have the resources to locate; you don't make choices based on what stats you want for your character. I really hope they go in with different version of chainmail that are available to ALL wearers of chainmail, so we can pick and choose what suits our playstyle. I'm tired of being locked into the exact same medium armor track as every other class that wears it. All scouts and shamans should not look alike. Brawlers shouldn't be condemned to look identical to druids.

They all look pretty good, dont know if I'd go for int or sta, or a combination of the two. No resists seems to be a theme now though, and I can't say I'm in love with that whole thing. Though, maybe even single group dropped stuff will be pretty good, and pack some other stuff like resists an that. Gotta wait an see
