But how do you change the opinion of an entire class. They seem to want to hate Rangers...so be it. I am likely not the first to admit that my in game socializing with any wizard outside my guild is wary to say the least. I personally just avoid any discussion out of character about dps or anything. </p><p>Sai</p>

I was wrapping some old quests up in Ferrott and encountered a wizard of the same level as me. He was taking on large groups and almost got killed every time so we teamed up and I tanked while he nuked. It worked very well, we were taking on ^^^ cons in groups and surviving with a sliver of health. If either of us were to attempt to solo those groups we wouldnt have survived. My point is he respected my damage and I respected his, when pulling I would use high damage CAs (both single and aoe depending on numbers)to dent the health and in some cases wipe one or two out as they approached. Which in turn also gave me the aggro to start hacking away while the wizard would finish them off with some nice high damage nukes. It wasnt the first time I duo'd with a wizard (met one in sinking sands that I teamed up with) and most certainly wont be the last. I had alot of fun.

<div>I can understand a natural tension between two classes who perform fundamentally the same function .. anhilliation. </div><div> </div><div>It's a bit ironic that my best friend in-game is a wizard .. and an outstanding one at that. We've duoed together almost exclusively .. are both 60 .. without ever being guilded. We've done our best to adapt to situations, mob weakesses, and capitalize on each others strengths (and tease each other for our respective weaknesses). It's been a blast. No, we've not got much in the way of fabled gear .. and you would be hard pressed to find a master between us .. yet we're often in zones or doing quests that require full groups. We can consistently take out the second floor in Poets .. and have duoed access to Silent City .. and have most of the Peacock Quests done and behind us. I can appreciate that this may not seem too impressive to the well geared among you .. but it impresses us .. and at the end of the day, that's what playing a game is all about.</div><div> </div><div>I can tell you with absolute certainty that there's no way I could do any of that alone .. and probably not the first time with many full pick-up groups. </div><div> </div><div>Quite simply .. played well (I can only speak for the wizard of course), the two classes have a rather remarkable synergy.</div><div> </div><div>Nice post!</div>
