One rangers opinion

<div><p><font size="2" face="Tahoma">I never used SoA or had it before LU19 so I can't say how ubber it was. I just turned 56 before LU19 went in and bought the spell after. I wished I'd saved my money. I can say that now it is worthless to me with the way it works and the limitations it has. It needs to be changed so that is doesn't root or stifle us in my opinion.</font></p><p><font size="2" face="Tahoma">I solo most of the time and have found that since LU19 I do less damage to the same mobs I was fighting the day before LU19. I can get off two ranged attacks before the mobs get to me and the I end up doing melee. I use to be able to kill one of the multiple blue mobs before they got to me about 50% or the time. Now it more often that they get to me alive and they heal so I end up with a much tougher fight and kill fewer mobs in an hour.</font></p><p><font size="2" face="Tahoma">I never have found heroic mobs that I can kill reliably unless they are gray. Like I said I never had SoA so maybe that would have changed things. I do think it's strange that I read the boards of the classes that were complaining about our DPS and I see that they tell new players that they can kill heroic ^^^ and names without much problem and some say even yellow ones. Sorry but maybe I suck but why should they ba able to and other classes can't and yet they complain. I wouldn't really care what they can do but I want to be able to get the drops from these guy also.</font></p><p><font size="2" face="Tahoma">I am a Ranger and was one in EQ1. I will continue to play one but am not happy about some of the new changes. I don't care if I'm the top of the heap of DPS or not but look at the over all of my class.  There are a lot of things that SoE needs to change to make people want to play this game. I could list them here but it's not the place to post it. I hate that they put in DoF in the form that they did because it changes the whole feel of the game. Magic carpets and such make the feel of the game completely different. I hope they don't do something like that in KoS. I left EQ1 because I hit the point of feeling that the soloers were not able to play at an equal level as the raiders and groupers. Items are important to me and I don't mind working for them. I play a lot and in chopped up times to can't group or raid effectively. If they want me to stay they need to look at the item upgrades. I find that EQ2 is very low on items that are of any value and drops normaly suck.</font></p><p><font size="2" face="Tahoma">I'm relatively new to the game as was really hooked on it until the last few updates. </font></p><p>For the record I think a lot of classes need more attention and hope the get it I can only speak to the class I use.</p></div>

You are still from what everyone is saying king of DPS so quit crying because you can't shoot arrows inside of 5m. And gee maybe that *gasp* amazing ability was never *gasp* intended to be used that way. <div></div><p>Frankly I think your assessment of the situation is a little over the top. Overall my damage has decreased around 8% (loss of prismatic proc). But thats it really. We still have our poisons and bow proc(though broken as usual). Although for soloing streams is only really useful if you use stun poisons now. I actually don't mind the change too much since it adds some skill and danger into an encounter. Before the change you could walk up to just about any mob, hit triple fire(to get the initial stun to account for the start up time of streams) and then hit streams and go afk till its dead. With that method any idiot could solo as a Ranger. Now, if your unlucky the mob will not stay stunned enough and get too close. That will be when the skill of the player comes into play, on whether you manage to win or get killed.</p><p>Overall I'm not worried about these changes. What I am worried about is that we can't try to get any bugs fixed without people jumping all over us saying its part of our nerf and its the way it should be.</p>

To OP: Sorry you feel you wasted your money, The spell is GREAT in group or on raids though. Just like a good prtion of are CA's they are not much use solo.<div></div>

The CA is still very nice in groups, and it can be used while soloing too... its uselfulness in that compared to the earlier version is maybe, hmm. Well, it was too good to be honest. But again, other ways could have been used to modify this CA so that ppl wouldnt have been so [Removed for Content] off about the change.</p><p>++Xan</p><p> </p>
