Gwyn is hitting 40 soon. Just a couple more levels to go.I'm looking into either quests or crafted things that are good in the 40s range. What should I target?<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><p>Armor: anything which has STR and INT on em. Dont pay much attention to mitigation unless your spending your time getting hit (which you shouldnt <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</p><p>Weapons: well, i would have said keep the PGT, but after the proc change.... Focus on stats for those too, since very little time will be spent on melee battle.</p><p>Quests: Some nice heritages to work i think, nice exp and decent items. Check ogaming for em (and for other quests too... heh).</p><p>Rings: The change for imbued rings wasnt that bad, i'd recommend STR/STR or STR/INT or maybe INT/INT ruby (if ya can afford) rings, alternatively go for bloodstone ones.</p><p>Wrist / neck / waist / ears : STR / INT here</p><p>And upgrade your CA:s. Maybe even to adept3, depends if ya have the money or have found the rares already (or are willing to mine em).</p><p>Places to do something: Well if ya wanna solo, check feerrott (has nice quests to work too), same goes with everfrost and maybe even lavastorm (if ya like the danger).</p><p>Hope this helps! :smileyvery-happy:</p><p>++Xan</p><p>Message Edited by xandez on <span class="date_text">02-05-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:23 AM</span></p>

I'm a soloing ranger. Should I still go stats over mitigation? And do you recommend chain or leather? I'm in crafted chain right now.<div></div>

If your like melee or are doing melee battles a lot, then mitigation helps. But if not... then it doesnt <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Heh, it depends on your play style etc. The leather armour gives more avoidance and is cheaper (crafted legendary) and the crafted leather legendary gives better miti than crafted common chain, so. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />++Xan<div></div>

Well I try not to melee, but the mobs just refuse to stand there and let me plunk arrows in them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div><p>Bloody hell lad, roll chain armor, [Removed for Content] the strength bull shi* and get some heave [Removed for Content] chain armor, I been puttin strength in since i was level 10, potions i made went to str, and still dont notice any change in dps or anything, so my words of wisodm, [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] STR, go chain armor...</p><p>Ok ok i take that back, i put in like 70str maybe since i started and there is a small change of dps, not all that noticeable since you only fire 1 arrow every 7 seconds (Not including haste or anything) and really, if you buy the right arrows until 34, you will get some fair dps without needing the str, most fo my damage comes from my bloody skills anyways, but seriously, just go whatever you want, if you ask me i still say forget str and just go heavy [Removed for Content] chain and tank away = p</p>

<div>There is also a long quest line in SS right by the Docks, If coming down the long blue snake whack a right at the bottom, right next to the Court of Coin quest giver....its like 10 quests long, that gives you a House pet/ Arena mob thingy.   I did 45-50 in SS in about a week or so.</div><div> </div><div>But as for gear.</div><div> </div><div>Your a solo'er ehhh?   God Bless yah!   First Upgrade should be your Bow, regardless of play style, shame on other Rangers for not saying that first :smileymad:</div><div> </div><div>Like previous people mentioned mitigation is a bonus, not a nessesity, getting a full set of Fulginate Chain, and start saving all coin for Ebon would be my goal, gives good stat balancing and nice resists on all pieces.  I would take Str/Str Rings if they stack, can someone confirm please.   If not, then Str/Int is also helpfull</div><div> </div><div>Best of luck</div>

<div></div><p>At that level I think I used enchanted thicket armor.  Less mitigation than chain but I liked the stats, lots of str.  Hunt in SS and you'll be tearing through levels before you know it.  The quests from the guys at the docks would be good till 50 then probably start the peacock club quest.  It's long but there are some that are really quick to do, and gives you plenty of places to kill along the way.  Imbued cedar bow is your friend, unless you can get a better (ie valian) from raids or broker. </p><p>Sinking Sands is also nice because it gives you room to kite.  You'll be killing tarrantula's before you know it!</p>

<div>The beginning mobs around the beach area in SS are 43-45ish I believe, I never pay attention anymore...  Anyway, you should be fine with them.</div><div> </div><div>It drops from Lamia Enchanted Lands and Rivervale I believe.  I just bought mine on the broker, should be pretty cheap.</div>
