<div>I did a quick search and saw that there were a few posts about a worldwide Ranger chat channel and was curious if those are still being used.  A few rangers and I were talking about it on the Lucan D'Lere server and none of us knew of any.   If there is one that you all are using please let me know cuz I would love to join in.  There are few things I love more than chattin ranger talk!:smileyhappy:</div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>Looking forward to seeing you in the channel, all I ask is that you adhere to a few simple guidelines:</p><p>1) Respect your fellow rangers. Disagree all you want, but flaming and immature name-calling are not cool.</p><p>2) Help those who ask for it, if you can. The purpose of this channel was to create an in-game discussion medium for ALL rangers, not just end-game raiders or newbies.</p><p>3) Refrain from bragging. This isn't a [Removed for Content] contest, we're not there to see who can do a million DPS on raids or who has the best gear. This is a collaboration, not a competition.</p><p>Thanks for the consideration, hope to see you soon!</p>

<div>Correct me if I'm wrong, I know this command existed in EQ1, and it makes sense since most Commands are the same that this would exist in EQ2</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>/autojoin Butcherblock.WorldRanger</div><div> </div><div>Will log you on the chat channel everytime you enter the game.</div>

<div></div>Nope, all you have to do is /join the channel.  EQ2 is setup so that once you're in, you're in, until you tell the game to remove you from the channel (/leavechannel #).

<div></div><div>Demlar and I talked a bit about the 'bragging' point last night in the channel. I want to be clear: being a 60 ranger and discussing your gear or your stats does not automatically constitute bragging or poor behavior - it's just discussion, that's how we learn more about our class and how we improve ourselves as rangers. We're (mostly) all adults here, we know bragging when we see it - if ppl are getting insulting, pedantic, condescending, etc - that's poor form, *that's* what I'm hoping to discourage. I don't want anyone in the channel to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable because they're told that they suck for not having X gear. Simple as that, really.</div>

<div></div>It ebbs and flows. Sometimes the channel is so active that I have to move it to another tab b/c I can't concentrate on groupsay or raid chat; other times it's very quiet for a whole night. On the average its one of the more active cross-server channels I've used, but that doesn't mean there's a constant conversation going on. But yes, by all means, say hi and introduce yourselves when you join! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div>I logged on for the first time last night also.  I was surprised to recognize most of you all on there.  I'll have it up all the time now, but unlike the forums, I seldom have much to say in chat.

<div></div>It's not working for me lately. Not showing up in my channellist and it tells me it can't join when I try. They screw up worldwide channels or something? Okay, now it tells me I'm already in. Yeesh. <div></div><p>Message Edited by TaleraRis on <span class=date_text>07-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>05:46 PM</span>

<DIV>Yes, the world channels are acting kind of goofy.  I had exactly the same thing happen.  Including the part where it tells me I'm in the channel when I'm not.  I got it working somehow, but I'll be darned if I can remember how.</DIV>

Yea I got back in today some how. If you do get kicked out of any channel just wait like 1-2 weeks and try re-joining.

Yeah, would be nice if they fixed it.  I managed to get back into it yesterday after deleting my .ini file about 5x as I'd been locked out of it for about 4 days.

<P>It happened to me a gain last night.  I have it set up as an auto-join when logon.  I got the message I was already in the channel.  So I tried to join again, same thing happend.  I clearly was not in the channel though.  So I did the /leave function and and then /join and wala, I was in.</P> <P>Looks like the quick fix is to /leave then /join.  At least it worked for me this time.</P>

I was locked out of the guardian and assassin one today too. Its odd how the bug works.

<P>Since the lockout of the channel seems to happen about once every 1-2 weeks here are some things I've found that let me get back in.</P> <P>Go through each window you have, right click on the window, go to chat options, select the channel and click leave, then ok.  Do that for every window you have, regardless of if the text is sent to that window.  Hopefully, one of them will pop up a message saying you have left the channel.  Once you see that message rejoin the channel and all should be good.</P> <P>Another option is to delete your server_character.ini file although I've really not had any luck with this one.  Best solution I've found for this one is that I delete the .ini file and then load up the game and use an alt's UI settings, since I run the same UI for all toons.  That will sometimes fix it for me.  I try these two things nightly till I can get back in.</P>

<P>What do you do when it says that you're in there, but you don't have it in any Chat Options for any window?</P> <P>I was able to fix Vianemar and chat last night, but when I switched to Gwyn after my bf went to bed, I could not for the life of me get her fixed and able to chat there. </P>
