<div>Ok, the hawk (which so far seems only a rp thing) you can get at 20 for your "fun" spell... does it actually attack or is it just to float around and laugh when you miss with your opening shot of the bow? hehe I have tried sending him to attack, guard me, guard self and he does nothing but make noises and fly around behind me. (I have a few drinking buddies who do the same thing when things get rough.)</div><div> </div><div>If it is supposed to attack, maybe im having a control problem with him. When I summon her she has guard self and follow me both set and when I click guard me the box wont change, it just stays depressed on guard self. I can make it stay, follow etc. but the attack changes dont seem to work.</div><div> </div><div>Thanks for any info you can give me.</div>

<div></div><div>Does nothing beside follow u around. There are ways to getting mobs to attack it, if i rember right havn't tried in a long time say u pull a mob with a agro reducer ,really no point in doing it but hey it fun seeing that bird die, now ur lower on the agro list then the hawk so the mob goes for it.</div>

<div></div>You cannot control the hawk. It does occasionally attack, but there are not conditions for this. You cannot make it attack by doing certain things. As such, it's purely fluff untill someone stumbles upon the trigger, which is undoubtedly there.

One trick, if you're prone to getting lost in dungeons: summon your hawk and tell it to stay put at the entrance (or whereever).  Then track to it.  Now, whereever you go, you've got a glowing trail leading you back to your pet, standing vigil at the exit.(Okay, it's pretty limited.)<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><p>I have noticed with the tiger fluff at least when in PoF fighting the cyclops that when they barrage and the tiger gets hit he will jump in and fight.  I dont stand in front of the mobs so I cant say for sure if this is a fluke or not.  But I have noticed that it seems the tiger just about always when he is AE'd will jump in and fight.  Just an observation could be off the mark here.</p><p> </p><p>                                         </p><p>Message Edited by Kasman on <span class="date_text">01-25-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:29 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>You'll eventually have three different pets.  They are exactly that...fluff.  Any of them will attack if they get caught in an AE, but for the most part, they're just there for looks.</p><p> </p><p>I'm still wondering where my wolf pet is at...</p>

I agree they are just fluff. But when I was doing the Tarby quest my hawk really helped. The wolves somehow all beagan to attack the hawk so I could just stand back and shoot them down one by one. IF I could find a way to make the hawk tank like that regularly it would be aawesome...would never have to melee.Buaf 48 RangerFaydark<div></div>

<div></div><p>Well you can force your pet to tank until it dies a horrible death. It is easy. Call forth your pet, but dont tell it you are going to let it get mutilated or it might stay hidden:smileyvery-happy:. Then target the mob and pull with Surveil or Improved Surveil. The mob will go straight for your pet and beat it silly but it will allow you to get in a couple of extra attacks. Or another trick, is to make your pet stay at the entrance to a zone and when you pull aggro by accident (say when harvesting), you can use improved surveil or surveil and the mob will rush off to the pet at the entrance. Voila lost aggro!</p><p>Elbryan</p><p>60 Ranger</p><p> </p>

My question is...   Where is the level 60 fluff spell?!   I want my fluff, or I'm going to that other game!Ok, not really, but it would have been nice.   <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

<div>Hmm, I was under the impression there was a wolf involved somewhere too. I happen to like wolves. The bird drives me batty (as I am currently in the process of hunting hawks), a bear would do the same as they are also a prime target for me and I don't care for tigers much. I want a wolf. Can't I have a wolf?</div>

<div></div><p>A wolf would have made sense for a level 30 fluff spell - it'd fit nicely there.</p><p>What about 60 and eventually 70? What would you guys like to see follow the tiger?</p>
