<div>ooc:</div><div>Back in my DaoC days I played a scout and kept rerolling him for Thid because I just had fun there. I enjoyed the role and abilities that I had. It was FUN to game believe it or not. /grin</div><div> </div><div>Anyways... since coming to EQ2 I played a ranger to be and at first was very let down. I really hated the character, but man after actually getting to the point of using a bow and getting over the initial "confused" persona hump of using only mele weapons I have to admit I was totally wrong about him. Whats my point? I guess I wanted to say thank you all for posting and being positive in most (if not all) of your posts to other "new" rangers so that the rest of us can read and learn as well.</div><div> </div><div>I just hit 20 yesterday with him (all solo levels, so im learning basically on my own what to do) and he is totally enjoyable to play. Ok, well enough of the wasting your time, but keep up the discussions and positive feedback!</div><div> </div><div> </div>

<font size="3">If you think it's good now, just wait.until you get to about 27 or 28.  LOL  You'll find yourself playing your other characters less and less.  Congratulations and welcome.  <span>:smileyhappy:</span></font><div></div>

<div>Old DAoC player huh? Well ya may as well stop leveling your Ranger now because PvP Teams servers are coming out in about a months time. Schedules for Febuary 21st. Just figured I'd let ya know. One DAoC gamer to another. :smileyhappy:</div>

I like to role play and play casually anymore. (Too much kid and wife aggro to sit for hours at a time.) If it was set up like DaoC to where I can pve in safe areas and pvp in set up zones then I might check it out but otherwise I will leave the pvp for the die hards.</p><p>Although I do miss sniper hill and other fun spots in Thid... /sigh Nothing quite like seeing some dumb dwarf come running down the road all alone making rude gestures to fallen allies and me getting off a head shot on him.</p>

<div></div><p>Another old DaoC player here and I have to say at first EQ2 rangers sucked compared to DaoC rangers, but now they rock.  I agree with what you said about liking the ability to choose to PvP in specific zones and PvE elsewhere being great about DaoC, and unless SOE comes out with that type of server I won't be re-rolling my ranger.  Welcome to the EQ2 Ranger class.  Let the hazing...err...initiation begin.  Don't worry it only hurts for a minute.   Boys somebody get the wooden paddles and somebody pants him...</p><p> </p><p>Welcome.</p>

<div></div><p>I love my ranger.  The amount of damage you can do becomes really impressive starting around level 30. </p><p>At level 56 now I rarely close for melee.  It was an adjustment, though, because prior to about level 25 you rarely do range attacks.  Upgrade those procs and get good poison and you will love ranged. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
