<div></div>5 levels higher mens they are orange .. and you got a very high penality to high orange mobs .. so you should really avoid them .. fight anything thats max 4 levels above and you'll have no problems <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

When you have to fight mobs 5lvls higher, i find its best to use a good debuff proc poison also. One that debuffs piercing will help let your hits land more. But you have to land a hit first and that hit has to proc that proc also, so still a big bit of luck involved. Also str hex dolls cast a Mitigation debuff on mobs. Very helpful also, might tell tank to pull those higher level mobs with it.But in my exp, 4 level is the best like mentioned above. you hardly miss most 4 lvl higher mobs, unless they are tank or worse yet brawler class mobs with high parry and blocking skills.<div></div>
<div></div><p>Those stats look great to me. You should keep the two roughly balanced if you want, but I can't imagine being a ranger with low AGI, it'd almost unpossible.</p><p>If you're missing a lot, it's for another reason - your ranged skill is too low, you're fighting mobs who con too high to you - not b/c of your attributes. AGI unfortunately doesn't mean a thing where accuracy is concerned.</p>

<div></div><p>One more thing that I think might effect hitting mobs - but I'm not quite sure...</p><p>If your weapons are below par, they might not be hitting with the same oomph. At least, that's an issue I think I'm dealing with right now.</p><p>One of my weapons is still blackened iron (T2), at level 26. I'm having an imbued steel short sword made to replace it, but haven't gotten it yet. I've noticed that my attacks seem to be a bit less effective, and I think that might be the reason. </p><p> </p>

had a imbued bone longbow with my alt to lvl 38... never had any problems hitting mobs, unless they were orange or red...so i think the weapon quality is not an issue... atleast with normal mobs, some mobs are immune to your dmg if you dont have certain quality mobs, but i think thats another story...But you cant have too much STR really (unless your close to the cap)The cap was like 7 times your lvl + 20 (iirc from some other post)And besides like stated above already, the agility doesnt affect our + hit chances in any way (sad, but true...)++Xan<div></div>

I know this is probably noob question, but I never thought INT was important for Rangers.

<div></div>Int has a direct effect on the amount of damage that Poison and weapons Proc for, not 100% sure on the weapon procs, someone else might be able to double check that for me. But poison I can garuntee the higher you Int the more damage it does.

<div></div><div>Aye, having high INT will make a huge difference in your dmg. It increases poison dmg a considerable amount, and if you have any weps that have procs on them, it will add to that dmg as well.</div><div> </div><div>Leoric</div><div>Level 60 ranger</div>

<div></div><div>I do 48% of my average damage with poisons and procs. I run Legendary DD poisons and debuff poison... Before I started looking at maxing damage my srt was 236 and my Int was 74 self buffed. After swapping gear my Str is 177 and Int is 177 my over all DPS went up 23%.</div><div> </div><div>My stats in order of importance at level 58</div><div>#1 Str & Int</div><div>#2 Sta</div><div>#3 Wis</div><div>#4 Agi</div><div> </div><div>The #1 thing I die from is AOE damage in Raids or Mob range nuking me. I never drop below %50 power and if I pull a mob in a raid agi does not matter I am dead. If I pull a mob in group I cheap shot step back and run Stream of arrows. The only thing I find hard is to survive big AOE damage in raids. </div><p>Message Edited by Blixx000 on <span class="date_text">01-27-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:57 PM</span></p>

<div></div>Didn't AGI used to say something about your accuracy when you hovered over it? I know it doesn't say that anymore, but I wonder... if AGI is a key scout stat, it may be re-worked back into significance in the future, so I wouldn't abandon it completely. I definately wouldn't put it below STA and WIS. I mean, exactly what do you gain from Wisdom as a ranger???? Nothing.

<div>We have a ranger in guild now that says he knows someone that did the intelligence test. By gearing for intelligence he was hitting for 600ish on procs that used to hit for 400ish. This was with INT in excess of 400. </div>

<div></div><p>Its almost Impossible to abandon agility anyway. Seems all Ranger armor has it and not much or any intelligence.</p><p>There seems to be more Int on leather then chain so you will have to make adjustments where you deem necessary.</p><p>Intelligence will make a big difference at 60 and in raiding situations.</p>
<div><hr></div><div>Also str hex dolls cast a Mitigation debuff on mobs. Very helpful also, might tell tank to pull those higher level mobs with it.</div><div><hr></div><div> </div><div>I believe its the STA hex doll that has the mitigation debuff on it.</div>

<div></div>Unless your STR is at the cap (7*Level + 20), you don't have too much str. As you level up though... you might want to start looking into other stats... like INT.
<div></div>Wow! Thanks for the good info on INT and other stats. Time to start adding some INT :smileywink:
