<div>Pgt is no longer a must have for all scouts/rangers. The effect blows comared to the way it was before the revamp. Pre revamp it increased str by around 50 and the ward warded for about 500. Also the power effect was about 300-400.</div><div> </div><div>Only do the quest for guild status because it is a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] to complete. Hope I didn't crush anyones dreams here but meh... and yeah get the FBSS haste is always good.</div>

The effect procs off your bow, at all levels from what I understand. The quest doesn’t take long at all you don’t have to camp a name, all mobs needed are always up...except for Tarby which is the quest given before the PGT, but he is on a 15 min timer. *shrugs* </font></span></p>

<div>hum , i got a question here , does that effect on Bp have 50% chance to proc on every melee hit ? or is it slow recast buff ?</div><div> </div><div>was thinking if it procs 50% of every attack , its overpowered</div>

Just to throw on every once in a while, cast the buff, and take it off again.</p>

<div></div><p>I don't really see any of those as must haves. I personally never used PGT much even before it was nerfed. FBSS while nice to have has very little impact on our dps. As for that chest, I can do without (with 20 min recast I would never remember to use it). The only Item that I think is a must is Prismatic Swiftblade of the Scale.</p><p>The quest starts here:</p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ToSpeakAsaDragon.php">http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ToSpeakAsaDragon.php</a></p><p>Another that would be nice to have is the Cryptic Metallic Coat from Meeting of the Minds. Granted I don't even have this since its rather rare.</p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/CrypticMetallicCoat.php">http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/CrypticMetallicCoat.php</a></p>

This is nice for those looking for late game or even end game gear, but what about best-of-breed items for earlier on in the game? It would be nice to focus our efforts on productive quests. A list like that would really be helpful for Rangers still rising through the ranks. Any tips from more my more experienced Ranger brethren would be greatly appreciated (currently lvl 2<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.<div></div>

It is rewarded at the end of Sir Valinayle's quest series. You can find him a little way down the passage from the entrance in Stormhold. At the next tier are <a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/BloodletBow.php">Bloodlet Bow</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/SureshotBow.php">Sureshot Bow</a> (you need to be level 35 to equip either). These are rewards from Operation Greenhood which is given in a quest series by Shadow at the docks in Zek.Oh, and I love my PGT. At level 50, I still carry it and often equip it for the power re-gen. In my other hand is usually the Short Sword of the Ykesha unless I'm working to keep my piercing skill up.

This way, one will have Gleaming Strike, one will have Paley Gleaming Strike, and both will proc. (If they have the same proc, you get the same number of procs as if only 1 is imbued.) Or go with an imbued cobalt duel wield weapon and a non-imbued cobalt weapon. The non-imbued will have different stats. Also, faster weapons do not proc more poison, nor do they proc more weapon procs. Weapon procs and poison procs are all normalized - the proc percentage is based on an increment of every 3 seconds and have nothing to do with weapon speed (ok, very little, but it's actually slow weapons like your bow that get a very slight edge).

I basically did that because with all the rare jewelry and whatnot I already had over 250 str solo which to me, is plenty. And with the cobalt I get a very nice boost in wisdom (for resists) and intelligence (for poison procs).
