High Hits

<div>Hello fellow rangers!</div><div> </div><div>Please forgive me (a 60 ranger) for asking such a noob question, but here goes...</div><div> </div><div>I'm curious to know how rangers are getting high hits over 10k.  I just realized that I am something like 36th on the server with a high hit around 8,900 and I know that I was maxed out on my strength, mob was debuffed like crazy, Trouby in my group  and I hit it with my Master I Sniper Shot.  I expected to see assassins with crazy hits, but when I saw fellow rangers with hits like 14k I figured I'd ask around to see what else I can do.  Is there a specific HO that is increasing the damage output like that?</div><div> </div><div>Hehe...really not this much of a noob.  I pride myself on my ability to pour out damage without pulling aggro off the tank.  But as I get more involved in raiding I am looking for ways to improve my play.  Thanks for your help!</div><div> </div>

I can only speak for myself, but, my HH <span class="capitalize"><span class="field_data_large">(</span></span><span class="capitalize"><span class="field_data_large"> 10,214 Damage) came during the froglok raid my guild did a few weeks ago...  My str was completely maxxed and the mob was completely debuffed.  I ran a sniper shot and peed a lil when I saw the damage roll.  Shots like this don't come easily and are a rareity.  Don't let a single shot, especially during a raid, fool you into thinking that we are able to do this all the time.  It takes allot of "behind the scenes" work, from allot of people in the raid helping, to make something like this happen.  <span>:smileywink:</span></span></span><div></div>

Highest hit for me is 12,483.  Currently 8th highest on Permafrost. If they removed the high hits from dueling I'd have 2nd highest behind an Assassin from my guild.

Communicate with your Brigand and time your shot for right after he hits the mob with dispatch, you'll see those numbers =). Best dmg atm for me at 53 with a timed HP during darathar, hit him for 5300ish =). But best dmg shot for me atm is only 2255 for melee, 190th on Oasis sever hehe. But thats with debuff poisons for piercing, and a adept3 for Hidden shot, but eh, about to replace that next level with steathly shot master 2 hehe, hello new highs.But yes, Best way to roll out a big hit is your neighborhood Brigand serving up a Master 1 DIspatch debuffing Mit by 3000+ allowing your big shot the true chance to score a huge hit. Also hoping your using piercing debuff poison to lower its pierce resistance enough to hit higher easier. Also having a Zerker and Warden in group pays off well also, with added str and the wardens big ranged skill increase.<div></div>

<div></div><p>I don't think I've hit for under 8500 on a raid with Sniper Shot Adept 3 in a long long time, in fact last night in Gates of AA I had one Hit for 10,975.  Then again, I always run up my sniper shot with a little combination.</p><p> </p><p>Brutal Instinct -> Cue Focus Fire ->Cue Improved Surveil -> cue Sniper Shot</p><p> </p><p>Sniper goes off with the +95 to ranged from Focus Fire Master I (or whatever it is exactly) and the +75% DPS from Brutal Instinct Adept 3.</p><p> </p><p>It's really a nice combo, and if you cue it all up, it all goes off together nicely, timed with a Dispatch, I've seen our other guild ranger crest 12,500 with it.</p><p> </p><p>Hexus Lupis</p><p>Another (expletive blah blah farbot) RAnger</p><p>60 Ranger - Valor - Kithicor</p>
