View Full Version : How difficult do you find dungeon spaces to be ?
<div>As I progress thru the 20's in my Ranger career.....a thought came to me that I never considered.....</div><div>How are we to fire a bow in close quarters (ie.. dungeon) ? If that's the case...have you found your</div><div>abilities seriously comprimised in these tight spaces ?</div><div> </div><div>Thanks !!!</div>

<div></div><div>Don't really find it to be a problem, especially with a good tank. Most mobs in dungeons have very small mellee ranges, so to fire off the bow you only need to take 1 or 2 steps back (Permafrost is a bit different cause Giants have huge mellee range, but the zone is huge also). A good tank will also turn the mobs so when you back up its to an area you have already cleared, instead of having your back to groups of mobs you've yet to kill. If they aren't doing this, tell them they are idiots, thats what I do <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>
<div></div>Nice tips ! I might be a little more subtle.....lol.......but good to hear that we don't lose our DPS skills inside !!!
<div></div>Cheap Shot is your best friend, especially in close spaces. If you're grouped with a tank, it's hardly a factor at all - our minimum bow range is maybe 2-3 paces away from the mob, and the 'sweet spot' (close enough for melee but far enough for ranged) isn't hard to find with some experimentation.

<div></div>it also pays to pick your spots right. It helps to have a wall in your back that you can blindly back into. Back firing through crampt corridors is always a problem, no mattter how good your tank is. That being said, you don't need to use your bow all that much in a good group, you're stealth skills help alot too. I find I'm rather busy managing the HO chains and keeping track of the rest of the dungeon. ANyway, I prefer open space zones, I'm a ranger afterall.
