<div>Click the name you want to find, and hit track, a glowing trail will lead you there <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

Yep.  The main way to use tracking is to open the tracking window, select the critter you're after, and click the button.  Then a glowing trail leads you two him.  In places with maps, you can also look on your map - your prey will be marked with a flashing red X.Sometimes, though, it's actually more convenient to leave the tracking window open.  For instance, if you want to know if you're moving toward a large mass of some particular type of creature.  Or if you need to keep an eye on approximate distances to several targets.Clicking at the top changes the sort order.  The options are alphabetically, reverse-alpha, and proximity.  All are useful at times.  (And we're thankful that we have the ability.)<div></div>

Thank you i now have the hang of that and how to use it, not saying i dont still have problems with it, like nothing is indicated on the map, (but i do use EQmap so the problem may be there) and when i click OK the whole list dissapeares ! (how silly is that?)Next related question isis there a downloadable UI anywhere out there that lets me resize the tracking window  its humungus as little info windows go, it seems to take up between a 1/4 and 1/3 of the screen (and you still dont see everything on the list without scrolling) when it realy only needs to be a narrow strip down the side permanatly open.so any locations for relevent downloads would be much apreciated.<div></div>

I'm sure allot of ui's allow you to do so, but, I use Fetish Nightfall..  Here is a screenie with the window sized the way I like it...<img src="http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/8894/eq20008251tt.jpg">It's not too intrusive that way, and you can resize it top to bottom also<div></div>
