Class Quest Reward

Last night I completed our class quest at level 18.  However, when I spoke with Arrel to wrap up the quest he did not give me his bow!  I asked about this on Butcherblock.Worldranger and was told it was a bug.  I've filled out the report on it, but is it at all likely that I will ever see the bow?By the way, I'm really glad to be here.  I've been reading this forum for at least two months whilst waiting to build a computer to actually play EQII.  I quickly knew that I wanted to be a ranger, and it was more for the community than for character concept or "leetness".  Too bad I couldn't log onto the forums with my old computer.And so far, even though I'm not a ranger just yet, I think this class rocks!<div></div>

One person you may want to talk to is the gentleman in the Eldarr Grove shop...Nightbow I think his name is...he gives a bow but I cant remember what level it is. <P>Welcome to the class and the community - glad you could finally join up. Sadly, the class quest reward is definitely bugged, we've heard reports from several younger rangers that had the same problem. I *think* one of them got a GM response that acknowledged that it was bugged, but didn't do anything to fix the problem.  Maybe I saw that in another thread here, I'm not sure. </P> <P>Anyway, if by some chance you're on Butcherblock, send a tell to Kaeros and I'll set you up with a decent bow for your 20s. Same goes for any other young ranger on BB that got jipped out of the class quest reward. Good luck.</P>

I apprecite the offer!  I'm on Befallen, though.  And this way, it's an excuse to attempt red-conning quests for a new one!<div></div>

<DIV>Yeah I did get a GM reply. Basically I was advised that it was being worked on and to keep an eye on the update notes, for a fix. I got the impression that at some point we might be able to return to Arrell for our bows, but obviously no GM is going to commit to deffinates like that.</DIV>

Yeah, that seems the likely solution, Gajet. I'd still go claim my bow once it's available, but unfortunately by that point you may be well on your way to something better, like Stormfire.

Which will hopefully be the case for me, given how many hours I've been logged in each day.Gregor's will have to get me by until then.<div></div>
