View Full Version : Avoidance is BUGGED!
<DIV> <DIV>Ok first of all I have a 36 Ranger and I know when something's not right in the lower levels.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have a Human Predator level 18 and without BF or H.I my avoidance is only 4.9%. Now i had a feeling this wasnt right but left it for a few days and then i really got fed up. Bumped into a 19 Predator and his avoidance was 20.7 without BF or HI. Now thats more like it!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We basically had the same equipment (Tanned Leather stuff) but I had better jewelery as I am a jeweler. My agility is 58 his 57.</DIV> <DIV>All my equipment is Attuned and im not emcumbered.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So my qustion is WAT THE HELL? Ive tried everything stripping down nude. and Nothing! Many people will say its your equipment or its your Race, but I say thats BS... how can (me) 58 agi have 4.9% Avoidance and another guy 57 agi with 20.7%?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This has got to be a bug... reported it.. not expecting a reply coz of CS reputaiton (apperently)..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ive put alot of time into this character because i wanted to start fresh and now I'm bugged... Why is it everywhere I turn in this game something screws up <IMG height=16 src="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif" width=16 border=0></DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV>

It your defence and parry skills up to scratch? It's easy for a Scout in early levels to rely on killing solo mobs without getting hit hardly ever and therefore have their defensive skills atrophy.
<P>My skills are as follows:</P> <P>-Defense 76/94</P> <P>-Parry 74/94</P> <P>I highly doubt that this is causing me to have 4.9 instead of 20.7.</P>

you just posted the problem: your defense and parry skill are not up to their max levels. if you have both of those maxed and then you still have the same numbers, then you can /bug it. <div></div>

You have to remember, and anyone can correct me if im wrong , but the avoidance number is based on you against an even con solo mob. So with your defence/parry skills so low you are more than likely at an even con with mobs 5 lvls below from where you are now. But with those 2 skills so low you have basically no avoidance against even con mobs. Its the same as if they were maxed out now and your avoidance was 25%..you would see mobs 4-5 lvls above you hitting you all the time because that 25% means nothing against the higher lvls. Also without changing anything look at your avoidance just before you ding a lvl, then ding up, and relook at your avoidance. you will notice a drop because your skills are the same but your being compared to a new lvl of mob. You posted and asked for help. People have told you your problem. As someone already said, bring those two up and if you still have the problem then /bug it. <div></div>
<P>Yep you guys were right..</P> <P>I spent a good half hour letting beetles hit me to get my 2 skills up and amazingly each point gave almost 2% avoidance (1% towwards the end)</P> <P>I just realised that with this toon i did one thing differently.. spent lvls 12-18 grouping in BB and SH.. I didnt get hit at all.</P> <P>But whereas with my other guy I actually soloed from 6-30.</P> <P>Well this is a huge weight off my shoulders.. lol.. phew...</P> <P>As always my Ranger friends, you have been most helpful... and thank you soo much <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>***By the way... I think that someone should add into the Ranger Guide: Recomend scouts to solo, at least lvl 6-20 to work up avoidance.</P>
