Arrows worth the money?

At level 42 I still have not bought a single arrow yet. Most of my arrows are sadly carbonite or fey iron. I was wondering if paying a bunch of gold for arrows really worth the money? Or instead should I just stick with spending my money on legendary poisons. <div></div>

<P>At level 42, I suspect you are spending most of your time in single groups or soloing.  Consequently, you probably do very little bow autoattack.  The quality of arrow only matters during bow autoattack.  Your Bow CAs are not affected by the quality of arrow.  So the answer for you is...don't waste money on bought arrows.</P> <P>Now if/when you start raiding...and you face epic mobs with AEs...then you may find yourself actually doing bow autoattack between your bow CAs.  The difference in damage between salvaged arrows and bought arrows then is significant.  If you find yourself in that situation, you might consider buying arrows for those encounters.</P>

<DIV>To add to that - some of the raid mobs are pierce resistant.. so you'll need PC crafted arrows for crushing or slashing damage.  So, soloing I used makeshift arrows and those arrows that come from rip.  I also found myself running out of arrows, and bought a TON of iron hunting arrows for like 9sp/stack.  Once I hit 48, made adp3 salvaged arrows, and rarely run out anymore.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
