Best way to go on bows is using the imbued rare wood type for your level range. The only bow I've found to be superior is the T5 fable Valian bow.

I don't have stormfire yet but I was looking at the Imbued Oak Longbow I think it is that's the rare level 30 one and Stormfire does seem better than that. it has better stats and a better damage rating even with the proc on the imbued which doesn't seem to make up for much. I planned to use my stormfire probably until 40 and then get the new imbued rare bow <div></div>
I used Stormfire until the mid 30s, then Bloodlet for 35-42 or so, then switched to imbued cedar. (Keep in mind that imbues didn't exist when I was younger, so crafted bows weren't as appealing then.) I upgraded to imbued ironwood <DIV>about 51 or 52, whenever the first woodworker on my server hit 59. Got it that night, too, sitting outside the door of his tradeskill instance waiting for him to ding and then craft it for me. First one on server by 10 mins or so. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>Depends on how rich you are. Me? Was my first qeynos toon, so he was poor. Quested and used Stormfire for a while, then quested the Sureshot bow. Then I bought an imbued cedar and now own imbued ironwood. I didn't have the spare cash for the cedar bow, but spent my savings mostly so I'd have a backup bow after wiping in raids, or forgetting to mend and losing my t6 Ironwood (which I've had since it was available).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Well, i used stormfire till mid 30:s (to lvl 34 or 35 iirc). The imbued recipes were not available yet. When tye came, i got myself an imbued oak long bow, after that cedar and finally an ironwood longbow. Personally i love the rare crafted bow, also the prize of the rare woods are not very high (atleast not on Oasis server) so they are quite affordable even if you are _poor_. Of course you will need a woodworker to make em, but they dont charge that much imo. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ++Xan <div></div>

But then i lvl-ed like a mofo just trying out different tactics and strategies for soloing wiht my ranger so doing that i was 50 in no time and didnt really need to spend time / coin to get a cedar bow rather had fun with the one i had!

<P>yep, lvling these days is so [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] fast i wouldnt believe it till i made a new ranger and tested it out myself... while its awesome, its also sad since the feel of real challenge and the enthusiasm of "wow i got a lvl" is not just there anymore... its more like "ding, another lvl here!" </P> <P>But its nevertheless fun, and thats whats counts... </P> <P><BR>++Xan</P> <P> </P>

I am a woodworker, and ever since I outgrew the bow you get from Daryann Stormrider, I was using self-made rare imbued bows. I'll have to take others' word that they're the better bows. If you have the resources, I would recommend the imbued bow, rare or not. The procs are awesome. <div></div>

<DIV>Isn't the Soul Sucker a Tier 6 fabled bow? I've been dreaming about a tier 6 fabled to eventually replace the imbued ironwood ever since the expansion came out. I saw the Soul Sucker on the Ne Plus Ultra website btw.</DIV>

Hmmm I almost have Stormfire. Should be a nice upgrade to my Ash bow, but what about Pinewhisperer. Is this a worthwhile bow to pursue? Or just skip over it and do the Imbued Crafted Bows?

<DIV>Is it worth going for Imbued. I seem to have read somewhere that that an Imbued H2H weapon can cause a bow hit to Proc. Is that still the case?</DIV>
