Arrow Types and Damage Difference, confirmed

<DIV>After reading nothing conclusive on the forums regarding arrow damage, I tested it on my own.  For combat arts, there was no difference.  But for the autoshots, here's what I found:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>25 Ranger vs 15 young kodiaks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>tin: 20-45 damage</DIV> <DIV>iron: 47-104</DIV> <DIV>makeshift carbonite: 41-107 </DIV> <DIV>feyiron: 76-170 damage</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For people who only pull with arrows and such, cheap is the way to go.  A stack of tin arrows costs under 2 silver.  A stack of feyiron arrows cost about 75 silver, ouch.  I need to get cracking on my tradeskills!</DIV></DIV>

This was discussed to death many months ago, probably why you're not seeing it talked about now. But yeah, I think it's generally understood that arrow quality only matters for auto-ranged and does not impact CA damage. I'd venture that most of us tend to use our own summoned arrows and only switch out for raids or other endeavors. Personally, I never buy arrows and never have, and I only keep a few stacks of slashing and crushing arrows on-hand for piercing-immune Epic mobs.

<div></div><div></div>Hmm... howabout stream of arrows, i remember someone once posting that the arrow quality indeed matters in Stream dmg, which would make perfect sense. arrow type doesn't matter for stream of arrows either.  Stream is a combat art not auto attack.  Confirmed this right when I hit 55 to get it.  I used tin arrows vs indium and no significant difference what so ever. <div></div>

and yes it DOES consume arrows for each shot... I'm glad I took makeshift carbonite as my Master 2 <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
