The last statment on this was in Aug...prepatch...so i wanted to get more up-to-date info on this. Does Honed Reflexes stack with Forester's Insight? Both are attack speed buffs. Or should Honed Reflexes only be used when in defencive mode(Adroit)? And, is the haste for melee auto attack damage only? or does it effect ranged auto? Do the DPS buffs like Steady Aim/Take Aim stack with the haste? Also since the are considered "spell" hastes...do they stack with enchanter and bard hastes?

If i remember correctly there was something about a MAX haste that can be used for weapons...a 1.2 delay weapon is hasted only so far...where as a 2.0 delay weapon with higher damage can be hasted to the same speed of a 1.2 max hasted...and do more damage....is this still in efffect? or did this get changed with the combat change? Sry for the newb ranger questions...i'm tired of playing my SK who can't hold agro for spit lol. Now its time for fun! (currently 29 and loven it!)

I know i'm missing a haste stacking thread somewhere....but most of them are enchanter threads. thanks ahead of time.

Honed Reflexes will work with both melee and ranged autoattack speeds. Since the HUD is gone I can't verify if it stacks with any other buffs we have, nor if it will stack with enchanter/bard haste spells.

I think the max weapon haste is still 1.2, even after the combat changes, but again, can't be sure of that yet either.

Out of habit, I normally trigger honed reflexes and brutal instincts both at the same time for the boost to skills as well as the haste. Steady Aim ranks in the category of "useless buffs" for me. I don't see the point in a 10 second haste buff for ranged attacks. My longbow has a speed of 7, what good is haste for 10 seconds going to do? It means I get maybe 2 autoattack shots off before the buff is gone? Why bother? Truthfully, I'll throw on Steady Aim for it's increase to ranged skill right before I drop big damage skills, like Triple Arrow, on an orange mob, to try and make sure it isn't wasted with a miss.

Steady Aim is not a haste buff. It increases the damage you do for 10 seconds (DPS they call it) it does not affect your attack speed but the amount of damage you do when you hit. Also it increases slashing, piercing, and ranged skills so it is not only a ranged buff. Basically it is increasing your damage and your chance to hit greatly for 10 seconds which is very helpeful against harder heroics and named mobs.

I don't use it often, but when I want to max out my DPS as much as possible I put it on. Basically it's a 10 second damage burst on a short recast timer.

I always wondered why they bothered with the haste part of that buff. Of course, if you use a short bow maybe it's useful, but that just opens the door to more questions... like why in the heCk are you using a short bow?? =P

One of the things I think about it is if you are back using your CA's your bow is still shooting at whatever rate it is. So as you sit there burning through your CA's on a mob, your bow has a chance to go off a couple times, with as much as 1000 damage. (Depending on bow, poison, and procs) I dont see getting a hit of 600 to 1200 about every 4 or 5 seconds if your bow does get hasted to be a bad thing, especially if its on top of my CA's. (Besides stream of arrows, but haste doesnt matter with that anyways.)
