Hi, i have a lvl 21 ranger. Can someone please advise me on what the best weapons are for my lvl and how I can get them. I currently have a carbonite dagger and carbonite hatchet in dual weild which I bought from a npc in QH. I'm not happy with these. They have no stats or anything. Any advise would be much appreciated. Peace. <div></div>

<DIV>Lvl 20 is.. Steel for the legendary.. imbue for procs and damage. and .. Fir i belive it is for your bow ^__^. And i knwo they added fabled weapons for thsoe lvls but if you dont see one drop its not gonna be worth the plat and 50+ g peeps will want for it.. you'll probably out lvl em way to fast !!  but this is all my personal opinion!!</DIV>

For crafted weapons, you want pristine imbued carbonite at least. Do a "/who all weaponsmith" and pick one who's <DIV>in the low 30s, send em a tell and ask for a pair of carbonite dual wielders. Imbued steel would be very nice, and I'd go that route if you mine a steel cluster or two, but buying the clusters on the market might cost around 60gp or so.</DIV>

<P>Pristine imbued ash long bow is the cheap version if you don't have money for the legendary version. For the melee weapons you should also see that you have von piercing and one shlashing to have always both skill on top <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>At lv20 I don't think you can beat the bow that you get when you complete the subclass quest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For weapons, I got an Imbued Iron short sword for 30s, and lotted a Razor-Sharp shiv for offhand.</DIV> <DIV>The proc on the sword is very nice, adds to the DPS.</DIV>

<P>Good post,</P> <P>Been awhile since I have played 6+ months and my ranger is lvl 23.  Imbued stuff was brand new when I quit playing, I have 5-6 stones or whatever for imbuing.</P> <P>Omaplata</P> <P>Mirn</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<P>I'd recommend getting both a piercing and a slashing weapon.  That way those skills will level up together, and you wont be in a bind if either lag behind.</P> <P>Also, only one imbued dual wield weapon will proc; save your gold and only get 1.</P> <P> </P>

<P>     My now lvl 22 Ranger use'a a razor sharp shiv and Tomhawk (sp sorry mind not working) both looted off bears.  Can't remember which one I traded off for a player made one . I got  both abilities max and did this by switching weaponds in my right had untill maxed. Last night I robed my 33 Conj and bought a imbuded fir longbow. now when the bow proc's  along with what ever poison I am useing at the time, slashing claws and weapond proc a high yellow bear arrives 90% dead and usually a stun.. jump behind or to the side finishes him off. When all 4 proc most times a yellow mob will fall dead at my feet and whites and blue's have been known to die after moveing a few yards in my direction. I would hate to see what would happen after I learn what poisons will stack and all the proc's go off at the same time/LoL just might take the fun out of hunting hehehe. BTW the bow cost a hefty 35 gold on oggok . A lot of gold at our lvl but if you can get it together get the bow well worth the money/</P> <P>. I also changed over to Rustic something chain mail from leather.. The migration was the hightest I could get for the money and had very nice stat's. Sorry if I didn't get the names exactly right but I forgot to write the stuff down in my notebook. At 60 years young my memory isn't what it use to be</P> <P>     Ajig</P> <P>22 Ranger</P> <P>Ogguk server</P>

Use some nice dual wield weapons. Dual wield axes and dual wield spears tend to yield large damage but are slow so that part is more person preference. To be honest spend your money on you melee damage weapons rather than range cause to be honest it isn't till your late 20's early 30's when you actually change over to the bow. I Strongly recommend starting on the Axe from the Past quest to get a nice dual wield. Additionally start working on the quests in stormhold to get stormfire which is a outstanding bow. <div></div>

<DIV>:smileysurprised:Im a lvl 21 Ranger myself</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If i remember correctly Steel imbued DW's are either  13.4 or 14.4 dps lol they changed it so much its confusing</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I picked up a nice pair of Shadowlurkers from Broker 13.0 DPS cost me 1 gold 25g each pretty good no proc but as people said you lvl 20-30 pretty fast</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>also there are Giant pick axes available 13.0 dps which should be pretty good</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and of course for Bow you can get imbued or use Rangers Bow</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>personally with my Ranger alt im only getting what i find</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>currently working on armour quests but found out there a horrid green colour :smileysurprised:</DIV>

<div></div>Yuck, the putrid green color is indeed horrid, just working on those AQ:s aswell and im kinda disappointed on the tint of those pieces... <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Weapons, i use treasured non-proccing dagger (dagger of the spurned) which has like +4agi +7str (iirc) and a non-proccing axe in the other hand (giant pick-axe) which had +2agi +7str iirc. Both had like 12 dmg rating or so. I still have my Pristine Bone Imbued Longbow, and i love it (its not even grey yet <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) Personally i feel that if your not fighting with epics or some difficult nameds, the need for legendary weapons is not a must espec. in lower lvls. You propably fly through lvls 20-30 anyway, so why _waste_ money to get the legendary ones? (unless you have found the rares that is <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) Same goes with teh fir. I was just lvl 21, now im 29 already.... lvl:ing is too fast now, it used to be WAAAAayyyyy slower / harder in the old days...*sigh* (And i have to say i kinda liked that more since even if im not trying to powerplay etc, i feel that im gonna miss a lot of content since im lvl:ing so fast... *shrug*) But playing a low lvl ranger is more fun than playing a lvl 56 ranger... heh, its much more cozy and... hmmm... relaxed i think... *shrug* Even if it does feel _too easy_ now and then, its still fun, espec. grouping! <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ++Xan <div></div><p>Message Edited by xandez on <span class=date_text>12-08-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:32 PM</span>
