I thought I would let all you know that the ranger forum, by far, are the most helpful upbeat of all forums. Go to any other forum and you find the worse of rants. Here, it seems everyone really likes being a ranger, and shares information. Maybe it's the attitude of rangers that makes it the best.

Not to be a ranger snob but to be honest I think most peeps who pick ranger have a mindset and reason for being ranger that in some way makes it almost so you have to be a cool person to be a ranger lol. Of course there are always exceptions to every rule and I've seen my fair share of Ranger Jerks and especially rangers that were made just to abuse our class, what I like to call [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] holes lol. No I attribute most of our good attitude to be from the fact that we are so lonely from being in the woods all the time any company is good company . On a serious note we do have one of the best forums and I read plenty of the others, none are quite like ours.
It is probably most likely due to the fact that most people who play rangers are happy with the class. I don't think this necessarily reflects on the "quality" of players playing the class as much as it reflects on the class itself. I think there is a reason why ranger is among the top most played classes, and there is a reason why people don't whine and are constructive on these forums. That reason is obvious, at least to me . . . rangers are a great class. This simply isn't true of other classes, which is why, I think, those classes are less played and have more people complaining in their forums.
Message Edited by Throne on 11-26-2005 03:44 PM

Throne, I must repectfully disagree. Rangers were pretty much a [Removed for Content] class until CU 13 fixed so many of the things that had been broken with us up til then. But the ranger forums before that were not the continuous waves of compliaints and recriminations I have seen in other class boards, broken or not. Rather, it was more instructive and constructive; experienced rangers giving advice and relating experiences to us less experienced scouts. Much as it continues to be, actually. ..

Check some old threads and see what I mean. Complaints were frequent, but seldom strident.

Message Edited by Prandtl on 11-26-2005 04:15 PM

Message Edited by Prandtl on 11-26-2005 04:16 PM

I'm an old school ranger and I remember when I started NO ONE wanted to be a ranger cause they supposidly sucked.. that didn't stop me.. and until recently for assassins to be our other half.. we where sad.. They where doing 3k a hit.. and we .. well.. ran around and looked pretty.. (some of us atleast sorry trolls and ogres ain't pretty) And I've seen myself that people who play a ranger just because they like it are nicer people.. The [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn][expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] who play only to be good dps [Removed for Content] me off.. most of them are snobbish and only pay enough attention to say ever 5 sec " I bet I can out dps you" *glares at people* good go ahead i'm going afk so i'm pretty sure you can !!

Feel the love my fellow rangers who can be nice nad have a good conversation without bragging about your dps every 5 sec or how much fabled you have !!

That has to be the proper word, Class. You can have arrogant, intelligent, stupid, whiney, witty, calm, collected, disorganized, and disgruntled peoples in these forums. But what makes one stand out is Class, and activeness. People in the Ranger forums have mucho class, but more than that, the members of this community are active on the active server. Want proof of this? Look at the Scout forum mainpage, where you select which individual forum you want in, and see the post count of the ranger forum vs any of the others. People come here and ask questions, usually within the day they have a response. Thats what makes this forum a great one. And because of people like Jay, who represent us in the highest capacity possible, we will continue to maintain the way we are.
