Scornfeather + Solo

<DIV>So get this. After duoing scornfeather a few times with a warden guildee. I notice that hey,,,, Im not really getting healed much here. maybe the healer isn't necessary.... So today after betting with my guildees on whether I can or cannot solo scornfeather  I strap on my bow and hop into scornfeather by myself. After  a while Im finally done killing everythign in the zone including all the named (died twice :smileysad:&nbsp<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> only to realize at the end, no master for me. And the whole time hoping that cuz im in here by myself I should be given a master automatically for wasting so much time. lol. LOL how long did it take you?  I've been wanting to try PP solo for atleast the first master chest.  Only reason I haven't tried is I would be wasting the chance at more from the nameds on the 4th floor. <div></div>

<P>I didn't time how long it took, but it did take some time...lol. I wouldn't mind trying PP next. I figure I could at least do the first 2 named after placeing statues and than the scarab ring events as well which are prone to drop master spells. Most of the people complaining are jealous they are unable to do the same.  And its not that just rangers can do it solo either.  SK's, Wizards, Illusionists, warlocks, and many other classes can do so.  If your a healer and expect to do this well good luck to ya. <div></div>

<P>Grats on soloing it.  I might just have to see if I can do the same when I'm bored.  As for people saying we need nerfed because of it, I think we're low on the list there.  There's a pally in my guild that over Thanksgiving weekend killed both Broog and Meathooks in Sinking Sands, solo.  He now does runs through the normal instance zones with a mystic as his healer and no one else.  I've seen wizards in my guild solo 2 epic x2 mobs at the same time since the mobs were all melee, and they just kept them rooted.  These same wizards solo Poets Palace, although I'm not sure if they solo the Keeper of Secrets or not, but they easily do the 2 named on the 2nd floor.  </P> <P>The point is, there are a lot of people that can do this.  When you hit 60, start getting some fabled gear and get most/all of your skills to adept 3 or higher, you can start taking down heroic mobs a little easier.  They said way back in the patch notes of LU13 that they aren't against you being able to solo heroics, they just realize not everyone will be able to do it.  People with good gear and a lot of adept 3 skills will be able to solo heroic mobs, with the right strategies.</P> <P>Solo Cazel though, then you can brag. lol  Best I've seen with him was a group of 2 wizards, warlock, coercer, healer, ranger dropped him in about 10 seconds or so.  Just all out unload on him.</P>

Im thinking.... should be someway to trap the 2 adds, open with snipers shot to stun cazel initially.... use stun poisons with precise shot (would stun him almost any time) debilitating arrow, triple arrow unload ALL bow CA's and he woulld still be stunned, than stream of arrows to finish him off. *ponders* Now if stun breaks and or it doens't proc your in for a world of trouble. I think doable though. Could also trap all 3 than lay new trap than attack him so you have the trap to slow him down if he breaks stun. than you can re position and finish him in round 2. I would say the repops would be the problem at cazel, as I heard they rush to his aid when the zone is not clear, and even if you can solo them all, you dont solo them fast enough to evoid repops

<P>Ya, that was another big issue I thought of after the fact. the re-pops would be a pain and more than likely could not kill em all fast enough. Especially if ya died while clearing all the adds outta the way. it's that much more time wasted. I think 6 rangers in a group could do it lol. All sniper shot at the same time, and he's dead. lol. <P>> I've seen wizards in my guild solo 2 epic x2 mobs at the same time since the mobs were all melee, and they just</P> <P>> kept them rooted. </P> <DIV>Thats complete rubbish.   I'm a level 60 Wizard. Epics are immune to all of our roots, stuns, and mezzes.  No way a wizard can solo an epicx2.  A wizard is utterly helpless against epics.  Heroic ^^^ maybe rooted over  period of 10 minutes with power regens and all adept IIIs.  Keep in mind about 4-5 hits from a ^^^ at around the same level as a wizard with all legendary is sure death.  </DIV>

<DIV>If you use the old school ^^^ conning system it shows both epic x2,3,4, and heroic x2,3,4 as both being epic's.  Stuns, roots, ect work on the heroic x2,3,4 type.  Even though it may say it's an epic it may not be if you are using the old con system.  Those people aren't solo'ing true epic x2's they are killing heroic x2's which many classes can do if they are smart and have a good strat.  Obviously healers and tanks would have a very hard time doing it but most scout and caster classes can.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Those two monks are two linked heroic encounter's.  They aren't a true epic.  Since both are monks and have no ranged or casting skillz it'd be pretty easy for a Wiz with adept 3 / master 1 roots to solo them.  Maybe I'll go try and solo those two tonight.  Never tried since brawler type mobs parry arrows at an annoyingly high rate.  Probably get my [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] kicked do to that but could be fun trying.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>I started out thinking the same thing Leoric, that he was grouped with folks outside of the guild, then I remembered who the pally is.  He's a euro player that doesn't group with anyone outside of our guild, ever.  He solo's stuff when he can't find groups.  He admitted to killing both epic's solo.  Oh well, let him have those 2 solo.  I'll work on soloing roost and the 2nd floor of poet's palace.  Died last night on my 1st attempt at PP because I screwed up when fighting the first wave of statues.  Think I have an idea on how to deal with them though, so might give that a shot tonight.</DIV>
