Was just thinking, all class's should (or at least can) get food and drinks before they go out adventuring. All classes benifit from having the best armor/jewelry wether for mitigation/stats. Ditto with Weapons. Question is, as we have to but a potion for debuff or whatnot PLUS at least 1 poisen - are we given a bit of a raw deal expense-wise? <div></div>

Were not really the most expensive class. We and assassins both use poisons. Of all three types. They have their ranged things, although I'd bet most prefer bows+arrows over throwing hammers. We get makeshift arrow skills, which allow us to keep from having to buy arrows so often. So beyond that, if we decide to buy specific types, its a personal decision. Much like any class would have should that happen. But as far as being required to buy poisons to maintain our Teir1 DPS, that is something I believe all of us have at one point in time wondered about. But for the most part, we rangers are content with having to do this, because we can make wizards cry now. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<P>I suppose it depends on your Guild. As long as I provide the raws, my guildies are usually more than happy to make whatever I need. Also, most of the predators that I know are alchemists. You'll can potentially make a little gold instead of losing it if you're making your own poisons. The ability to make Adept IIIs for fighters can also line your pockets.</P> <P> </P> <P>Just my 2cp.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <p>Message Edited by Karlanth on <span class=date_text>11-14-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:02 AM</span>

<P>Naw, it's kind of like being a boxer...ya know your gonna get punched in the face, so why complain about it when it happens?</P> <P> </P> <P>We know it costs money to be who we are, most of us don't care. I have never been wealthy in game, so it dosen't bother me much.:smileywink: </P>

ok, question was are we most expensive. It seems we are. Already went tailor so I can make my own armor (don't like this chain nonsense, doesn't seem right) and am now leveling my mage up as a potions maker). <div></div>

lol - all my alts just make stuff for my Ranger! Rangers are VERY high maintenance! I have the Ranger making her own armor (found 1 T4 rare pelt, ready and waiting until I level <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />), my mage is levelling to make poisens, my newbie priest I made <i>just </i>to make food for the two mains and now I'm it seems I need to roll one to make legendary arrows?! Lordy, if I'd know all this before I made a Ranger............................I'd still have made her. She's so cool <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
<DIV>Not really at high levels...</DIV> <DIV>I haven't used food or drinks in ages.</DIV> <DIV>Mobs die before they can hit me and my power is always maxed due to my PGT....</DIV> <DIV>Besides we have stealth so we don't have to spend cash on totem of the chameleon like melee or clerics classes...</DIV> <DIV>We don't have to buy arrows either.</DIV>
<P>Maybe we are... but does it really matter?</P> <P>Like what are you gonna do if indeed we are the "most" expensive class? Switch? <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </P>

<DIV>i found that my ranger is the least expensive class to play. None of my CAs are above adept1, i rarly use poisons, arrows are summoned, i rarly pull agro in groups or when i solo so i dont get hit often enough to require food, with drink i find that i only need vendor bought drink but when i solo i dont need to use it because i quest rather than grind by chain pulling mobs. i am able to be super effective soloing or in groups without adept3 or poisons. as a templar i have upgraded all my heals to adept3, good drink is required. 28 power per tick doesn't cut it when 1 heal uses 200 or so and you cast a lot of heals. my necro finds it very useful to have adept3 of every pet. i only use vendor bought drink cause you can tap the pet for more power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>bongo</DIV>

I know someone who buys plat with real money seemingly because they are too lazy or not enterprizing enough to make coin in game. In my opinion, why are you playing then?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as Rangers are concerned, we don't <EM>have</EM> to buy the damage and debuff poisons. One could seemingly get away without it. But if you do use them you kick @ss! It's really not much money if you're a good player and don't die often. Arrows are summoned and shouldn't cost anything unless you upgrade when you are raiding at 50.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All classes should spend money on armor, weapons and spell/CA upgrades.</DIV>
<DIV>Dont worry you dont have to work your gut of to make your char the utmost perfect one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There is no need to use legendary poisons, rare arrows or rare amror and rare weapons in this game unless intend to go hardcore.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Take the time to have fun and if that consist in making alts to supply your main with top notch stuff then sure go ahead if it makes you happy<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But most tend to upgrade what they feel they think is most fun to improve or what they think their character need.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most of all have fun when you play and dont dig yoursel too deep in that ts dungeon if you think its too much<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>we dont need poison but it does add a lot of dps. I feel we are the most expensive class... highest dps and highest cost..</P> <P>As other have mentioned it depends what guild you are in and contacts, if you are an alchemist or know them. I personally have access to T5 and T6 rare poison very cheaply so i do not worry about the cost too much. Ancient's table merchant sells a 250dd poison for 49s each (8 doses) which i use for trash greenies and i personally use rare T5 (361dd + dot) and T6 (451 dd+dot) for grp and solo.</P> <P>Yes we do get a summon arrow spell but i paid like 1.5 plat upgrading it to adp3 which has to be taken into consideration into the cost. Fulginate are ofcourse grey to 55+ as well.</P>
