<DIV>I am wondering,  (Not arguing) why quivers do not have stats on them?  I know at fist glance everyone will say 'because that would be unbalanced' but is it really?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Didnt the update make it so that almost every class can carry something in their ranged slot with stats on it? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I may have read the patch notes wrong,  but my impression was that they changed/moved things to allow for more 'stat' items to be placed.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Proccing quiver?  Arrow summoning quiver?  Clickable quiver?  No,  I think that would be really over powered,  but I am confused about why no stats were added.  I can understand no ac,  and maybe no resists,  but you would think some minimal stats, even 5 str 5 agi would work.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My guess is that they did not add stats,  as they did not make 'level requirements' for the items.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I personally would rather have a level requirement and have some stat or skill increases.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only thing I can think of is that the container object as it was created,  was never created to use the armour.c or stats.c files (for those MUD programmers<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> found in /STD.  Another words,  the in-ability for the LIB to transfer bags properties to the players.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In short I am wondering if someone could explain the thought process to me on why no stats,  as my cursory look to find the info turned up nothing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV>Tippo AggroRat</DIV> <DIV>60 Ratunga Ranger</DIV> <DIV>Grobb</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Every class can equip something in their RANGE slot, but quivers fit in the AMMO slot.  Therefore it does not have any stats because that would then give those who can use it something more than those that can't.  Its all about balance, wether people like it or not =P <div></div>

<DIV>Just be happy we get quivers, they shouldn't have stats because once again that makes it unbalanced against other classes. priests, mages can now equip something in the range slot to make it balanced.  We as hard as it may be to believe can equip a bow in our range slot which happens to give us stats, now other classes have an equal amount of slots that will get stats as we do now.  So it's all fair.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Leoric</DIV> <DIV>Level 60 ranger</DIV>

<P>/agree</P> <P>My imbued ironwood longbow has +15 AGI and +15 STR or something like that... if I were a priest, I'd be a bit miffed that I couldn't carry a similar stat-boosting item in that same slot. Quivers are containers, nothing more, and IMO that's the way it should be. </P>

Just like to point out, ANYONE can equip a quiver (or the new bags for non arrows), so it would just be giving everyone a slot that they felt they NEEDED to fill even if it served no function, do you really want to be fighting that mage for the rare pelt harvest to get your quiver made? <div></div>

I'd like to see a haste effect with the quivers more than a stat boost.  I've noticed there is a high sensitivity level to stat numbers, but nobody seems to get as upset over effects like this.  The bottom line is if we have a haste effect, it will increase our DPS far more than +##_stat.

<P>Okay, but WHY?? Why should we get a quiver with haste or ANY beneficial effect? What other class gets a proc or combat boost from their ammunition?? Unless they grant every class the ability to use an item in the ammo slot that grants similar benefits, then quivers should remain a container, nothing more. </P> <P>Sorry, I'm just surprised that with everything we've gained in the last month or two, people keep wanting more, more, more. We're not owed anything over any other class. I'm obviously a ranger, heart and soul, but I do NOT believe we should get any inherent advantage over any of the other classes. If we do, we're just that much more likely to lose something that we actually need. </P> <P>/rant_off</P>

Now people actually want us in groups. The only thing I'd say is ok to request here is a graffic. Low priority, but if you can do it, cool. I went through 3 stacks of arrows yesterday, and didn't notice, because I still had something like 8 more. The benefit of a quiver is that it holds more then one stack of arrows. Period.

I agree with you jay, and hope for the poison/death fix (is it fixed, I tried not to die yesterday) but would LOOOOOOOOOOVE a graphic for it. But im sure th chances of that are pretty small lol.

I think asking for stats on quiver is asking for a bit too much tbh.

<DIV>I really think you should be able to have a quiver (with arrows) inside one of your regular bags/boxes though, as it is now if you are raiding you are forced to give up at least one regular bag/box to be able to have one extra quiver with slash arrows. And yet another one if you want to carry crush as well.</DIV>
