<DIV>I know alot of people were made about our offensive stance, but once logging in I realized it's not that bad at all. Before our "nerf" I could get it to do 609 dmg with buff sfrom a group at capped STR.  Now although I have not been in a group I can still get it to do about 450 DMG at 30% chance to proc. so when grouped I can only imagine it will once again go above 500. SO all and all it's not too bad. It made other classes stop complaining about our uberness so hopefully this will help rangers to see it's not overly bad. although still disapoointed about stream of arrows range being 5m now. not that I solo much anymore anywyas. Hope no one deleted their ranger after update :o) Besides we have quivers now. that alone increases our DPS due to not replacing arrows alot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Leoric</DIV> <DIV>Level 60 ranger</DIV>

<P>As an assasain i'm glad to hear this if it comes out to be true after more test it....</P> <P> </P> <P>In our quest to get more DPS,  we knew rangers would be looked at.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<P>Good to hear, Leo. About to log in and check it out for myself. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>RE: Assassins...I'm not sure what the "rangers would be looked at" remark is intended to mean; we rangers knew we'd be looked at. I for one hope all the classes are always being looked at.  <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<P>I hold no ill will toward our assassin brothers.  They needed some fixes and they finally got some.  Hope they help you guys out some.</P> <P>I blame any changes we rangers have to endure on those cry baby, dress wearing, caster's.  You know the ones that think our one and only group buff Pathfinding is greater then their groups buffs for resists, Int and Str.  Loved watching that one continue to claim his Wiz had no utilitly and couldn't figure out or understand why a ranger would out dps him in a group.  I'm sure any ranger that grouped with him didn't mind the extra dps he got from that Wiz's useless utility i.e. Str buff = higer CA damage, Int buff = higher poison damage.  Got to love how the guy never even new he was helping the ranger out dps him.</P> <P> </P> <P>PS - Most Wiz/Warlock are smart and good players that know their [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].  To bad the loud idiot minority have been doing their best to make you all look bad.  I have a high level (49) dress wearing alt also <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  If I ever finish switching court factions and get that Ring of Fate I might get back to leveling him lol.  Damm that's one hell of a long series of quest.</P> <P> </P>

My only question was how some lower tier groups where able to keep up the supposed "king" of dps. I love rangers, infact I am thinking of making a ranger alt when I get to 50, again the only problem I had was with my own class, more specificly resist's and being OOM after a few fights. Btw how much did assaisins  get lovin by?</span><div></div>

<P>/toggle_chickenlittle</P> <P>soloing much harder?  Dude... YOU gotta be kidding.  The change in proc damage really hasn't made much difference.  At adept III it's still plenty potent to drop most non heroic mobs before they get to you, that aside poison dmg does more DPS than the proc ever did.  The slight decrease is totally offset by the increase in DW damage potential, the rate mobs drop now is much faster.  Minute technicality nerf because there was a small damage reduction, but it's hardly getting bent over the barrel...</P> <P>Edit:  Good point Jay!!</P><p>Message Edited by Haladeth on <span class=date_text>11-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:33 AM</span>

<DIV>Jay 42,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There was a nerf to Stream it's completely unusable solo.  Has this changed my ability to solo...not really I get hit alittle more, but still able to take down almost all the same mobs I could before.  Good news is they reduced the hate to 20% which isn't enough for all the restrictions on it in my opinion, but I'll take it rather then leave it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Falcon</DIV> <DIV>60 Ranger</DIV> <DIV>Kithicor</DIV><p>Message Edited by leafnin on <span class=date_text>11-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:08 AM</span>

<P>They reduced the hate gain to 20% ??  I didn't actually look at the skill last night but will definitely do so tonight.  If your right and they did reduce it I see that as a really nice offset to the 5m range they added.  At 20% I think I will be able to take advantage of Stream on raids and regular instance runs alot more often.  It will be nice to not have to watch it and cut it short after 15-20 sec for fear of grabbing aggro and screwing up the raid.</P> <P> </P>

My point stands, to the person I was responding to - you soloed just fine for 54 levels, you could continue to solo just fine without ever having seen Stream of Arrows. I'm glad to hear it's not crippling you in solo combat, tho, and the hate reduction is definitely nice. </DIV>

<P>Yeah, I really wish they'd fix stream of arrows.  If for no other reason, just because I miss the looks on the faces of my xp group when they finally show up to "the spot" and I'm soloing level 59 triple up cyclops with ease at level 55.  hehehe.  I knew that wasn't going to last too long.  I did feel like it was a just reward for all I had endured before dinging level 55, and I only got to play with it for a few days before it got nerfed.  =(</P>

Stream didn't really effect my solo play as I didn't use it much.  The changes they made to the CA's turning on auto bow is what's killed my solo play.  Still hoping they will add an option to turn this function off.  Until that happens I doubt I be out solo'ing much.
