Quiver Quests

<DIV>I thought this would be a cool addition quest for rangers but also for any class. This quiver would have no stats but something cool. Like maybe it could glow so in dark areas you have a light source. Or it could just look cool and be seen hanging on your back. I think a quest for a cool looking quiver would be fun. Obviously, rangers would want to do it but any class would be able to equip it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thought a quiver with continual light as a proc would be really sweet. No more darkened areas, no more torches. Any other ideas for quiver quests? </DIV>

I think that's a great idea. I dunno if the quivers will have gfx but I hope that they either will or that adding them is on the todo list. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I like the bow on my back when I use it but a quiver on my back all the time (maybe the bow could be attached to it somehow even when meleeing) would really make me feel more... ranger.<BR>The trick is what to do to differentiate them. Arrows weigh nothing if I'm not mistaken so wieght reduction is pointless. Stats are kinda out of the question because that would give rangers an extra slot for stat items... while I would *LOVE* that it's unfair to other classes. So your left with the number of slots... not a lot to work with. I'm sure they could dream something up though. =D

<P>Hehe Jays42, I dont think we have to worry about stealth too much. Our glowing quiver can match our glowing prismatic sword that bugs and stays glowing while in it's sheath. I think that s agood give away :0) . I wouldn't mind it. I always hated running down to nagafen while invis and not being able to see my self on the narrow bridge thingies. Luckily I was never one to fall off or lag than fall off but Im sure people everywhere fear it everytime they invis down there.</P> <P>Leoric<BR>Level 60 ranger</P>

Sounds like since a quiver will be equippable in the ammo slot we will get extra storage and auto load to boot so that is all covered. Possible ideas for a quested quiver... <ul> <li>Similar to how the 'weight reduction' of a quiver in EQ1 translated into bow haste how about a quiver that will increase range attack speed? </li> <li>How about +range (skill not distance). </li> <li>Maybe one that is a clicky that summons some kickin' arrows but has a longish recast.</li> <li>One that shoots off clay pigeons for target practice.  PULL!  no tank, not you!</li> </ul> <div></div>

How about a quiver with a haste effect... they hold more arrows, and theoretically improve the efficiency with which one can access an arrow.  just my 2cp

Or maybe a quiver that holds beer bottles on the side with a handy straw that just loops over your shoulder and provides ready access to that creamy smooth delicious stout or porter? Okay or maybe wheat ales when it's summer and we're outside too.
