Quivers are actual bags that go into your ammo slot and allow you to shoot more than 99 arrows without running out, i.e. it will use all the ammo in the bag. What you posted means you no longer need to put everything in your activatable (or charm) slots to be able to use it.  You will be able to drag your Manastone or your poison from your inventory to your hotbar so it doesn't take up a 'charm' slot that you'd rather have a hex doll or something else in. Please try not to confuse people.</span><div></div>

If I'm right and *anything* will work like that (since they are doing it for food too), the quiver is just something that might have stats on it.  It really isn't needed since everyone was simply asking not to have to re-equip after the 99.  However, as it was already posted several times in several different places (twice here), quivers are going to be in LU16</span><div></div>

Quivers won't have stats. Also if you do actually read the patch notes, etc. like you say, you'd know that quivers are being put in in preparation to fix the problem with people using boxes as inventory, per Beghn. Furthermore, ammo will not work the same as consumable items you click on, which is what they are referring to in the note you quoted.  Ammo will most likely NOT auto-equip from inventory, only from the quivers, and because of the upcoming box change, inventory will be a much bigger commodity than it used to be, making quivers an absolute necessity for anyone with a ranged attack. <div></div>

I was going to edit my message but since you've already replied, I will leave it as is.  However, I want to apologize for the tone I took with you.  It's not me and I didn't mean to sound so catty.  My wife's union voted to strike instead of taking the new contract for a company that I work for.  I'm in management here, so you can hopefully understand all the ramifications I'm going through here or at least appreciate it.  However, stress and other issues does not excuse my behavior.  I just wanted to clear the air here and hope that you forgive me.  I hate seeing drama on these boards and don't like when I'm part of it.  I simply reacted to your post badly.</span><div></div>

You didn't go over the line anymore than I did, bro, it's all good.  These patch notes are designed to confuse us, lol. <div></div>

<P>Wow, nice job guys. I was about ready to knock your heads together - rangers of your status and seniority setting that kind of example?? - but good on you for clearing it up yourselves. </P> <P>Re-railing: I'm really liking the sound of LU16, these changes alone would be great but having quivers as well?? BRILLIANT??</P> <P>See Demlar, I told you I'd get the Devs to resolve those issues and give us our quivers. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </P>

<P>WHat im hearing from some people sound good. So we can use clcikes from inventory on our hot bar? Meaning I no longer have to switch out my rings to cast the 22 STR and 22 AGI buffs from em? And I dont have to pout my horse whistle in activatable slot? I can just hot bar ALL of them? sounds too good to be true but much appreciated If it works like that. If not than oh well. Heh. that would also mean I would have an entire hotbar for all my poisons. Uh OH. need ot make space on my screen lol. but than agian i coudl be reading it all wrong. I'll have to wait and see. And YAY. quivers. Woohoo.</P> <P>Leoric<BR>Level 60 ranger</P>

The hex dolls are now charms so they would go to the new slots. Things like potions and poisons will be hotkeyable and clickable from inventory. Don't know about the whistle but I'd guess it would be inventory. Manastone too probably since it looks to not have stats. </span><div></div>

Most likely the quivers will have stats, and will probably require a rare pelt to make.  Reason for the quivers instead of doing the same thing with clickable items as they are for arrows is because by making it to where everyone can equip certain things in range slots, they were effectively taking away the same thing for rangers.  Rangers are required to keep arrows in there to use, therefore we'd lose the stats for that slot that others would.  Arrows most likely will work the same way as the clickable items, seeing as how its pointless not to.  The quiver on the other hand is to fill that void and compromise with the rest of the classes, by not taking away a slot from rangers with stats, and giving all the others one.  <div></div>

No, The_Wind. Quivers are not going into the ranged slots... thats where our bows go.  Quivers are going into the AMMO slots, and I am 99% sure they will not have stats. You're confusing this change with the one that allows Mages, Priests, and Crusaders to equip non-AC secondary items in their ranged slot, which brings them in line with the rest of us statwise. <div></div>

The tradeskill dev mentioned something at some point (on the tailor forum, I think) about boxes not being intended for inventory usage, and that fixing this was on his to-do list.  I'd find a link but I'm lazy. <div></div>
