<DIV>Just wanted to share a quick story that happened last night. I was in Lavastorm with my lvl 41 Ranger doing the first part of the Lost Legend HQ and getting some XP killing goblins. After a little while I get an invite to group from a lvl 43 Warlock who was killing the same MOBs there. Why not, I figure...it will go quicker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pretty much right away I notice that this guy may not be the greatest groupmate...no responce at all to tells I send him in group chat. Maybe he's shy. Then, a chest drops off a MOB and he loots it. He musta forgot to switch to lotto, I guess, so I ask him to do so. No response, but I figure he changed it. Next chest drops he loots that, too. Then, a beeswax document  Now I'm getting a little torqued. I send another, more strongly worded tell suggesting he change the group options. STILL no response. My first instinct is to disband with this tool, but instead I figure I'll try to get even and have a little fun. So I stay grouped.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From then on, he would pull the MOBs, and in nearly every case, I would steal aggro from him with my ranged attacks. Which meant that the MOBs would drop closer to me than him. Which also meant that I got first shot at the chest drops!. I got the next 4 chests that dropped, despite his frantically trying to get to them first, before I became a gentleman again and let him loot a chest. I made sure he knew I was "allowing" him to loot the chests, too. I'm sure he would not have done the same for me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What I loved best about the whole exercise is that despite trying, this Warlock who was 2 levels higher than me could not keep aggro for trying, I could get it literally anytime I wanted it. And I realized afterward that I had hate reduction up at the time. Now, I realize that being 2 levels lower may have contributed to the aggro I was getting, but it was still fun. And it obviously had the desired effect on the jerk of a Warlock I was playing with. And it does say alot for the amount of damage we Rangers can do now. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just thought you may get a kick outta this!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Aranuir</DIV> <DIV>41 Ranger</DIV> <DIV>Alpha Legion</DIV> <DIV>Blackburrow</DIV>

<P>Man... good on you for trying to continue to be polite. My fuse burns down very, very quickly in those situations. </P> <P>/disband </P> <P>/duel</P>

I hear ya Jay, but this guy would not respond to tells, group chat, anything. So in a way, it was better that I did it the way I did. I'd back away from a chest drop as if to say "I'm allowing you to have this one" Had to be a pretty humbling thing for a 43 Warlock to be a 41 Ranger's Be-yotch. I think he saw it that way too because after a little bit I got a one word tell: "quit" before he logged out. LOL
