<DIV>Hello, all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just read a post by a fellow Ranger, (sorry I forget your name), in a thread about solo'ing in dungeons...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, the poster talks about some macros he has for; Hidden Shot/Triple Shot/???</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And another macro for some other melee CA combo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know how to make simple macros from the Macro Tab in the Socials screen... but could someone please tell me how to string together some CA combos as macros?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That would be OH so useful for me since sometimes when I'm using keys that I use my mouse to click and my mouse gets a little... funky... I sometimes miss crucial timing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One button macro to string together a couple/three CA's would be awesome.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks all for your time and help with this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Take care,</DIV> <DIV>Rinwen, Ranger of Tunare</DIV> <DIV>Permafrost Server</DIV>

<P>Have you tried casting from the number bar at the top of the keyboard? I keep my CAs on the first two hotbars, so I can use either the numbers or Alt + the number to use them. Works pretty well for me, but I got into the habit of that with EQ being an enchanter <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  It may not be best for everyone.</P>

<P>Type ,(for instance), /useability Cheap Shot (on the macro line).</P> <P>Also see here:</P> <P><A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=11553" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=11553</A></P> <P><A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=6274" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=6274</A></P> <P>That should give you something to go on.  </P> <P>I would recommend experimenting a bit;  how to set them up, and, (more importantly), how and when to use them.</P> <P>Use greys that are 12 or so levels below you to experiment on.  Little risk, and you won't kill them instantaneously all the time.</P> <P>Good luck.</P>

<DIV>My thanks to you both for the replies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yes I do use my number keys at the top of my keyboard but for the attacks that are in the 7-0 section of the keyboard, that I'd need my right hand to use... is usually on my mouse... so I try to mouse click those... and sometimes my mouse is dirty or something I guess and doesn't always go right where I want it to go, LOL <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, my apologies for wasting your time... I really should have done a better job of searching the forums first.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><pulls out his Dragoon Dagger and carves 'remember the search function next time' into his arm> <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank you again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Take care,</DIV> <DIV>Rinwen, Ranger of Tunare</DIV> <DIV>Permafrost Server</DIV>

<DIV>See, that's why it works for me. I'm right-handed, but I was diagnosed recently with a benign spinal cord tumor. Nothing a little surgery won't fix, but it's made motor skills in my right hand almost impossible. So my mouse is on the left hand when I use it, although that's rare, and I use WASD for movement whereas  I used to use the arrow keys with my right hand.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only tricky thing for me is that fourth bar I need sometimes, where I have yell and such. I used to keep yell on the first bar and  I kept yelling on accident and losing out of exp, so that got moved real quick.</DIV>

<div></div><div></div>Being a ranger if you're getting in there and melee'in solo you're possibly losing alot of DPS since the majority of ours comes from ranged CA's. That being said really the only macro i use for Melee is for my HO just to help expidite it much more quickly. /useability Lucky Break /useability <def debuff(Snipe)> /useability <fast CA(Lightning Blast? i forget)> The problem with this is that due to LU13, the Snipe ability has had its recast time doubled almost to where you can fit in two of the lightning blasts per 1 snipe, so it doesn't work well.  Cheap shot can be substituted as well as evade if needed.  /useability Longshank /useability Crippling Blade /useability Tear Crippling blade tends to have a longer recast time i believe, but not sure at this moment.  Longshank has a weaponsheath ability applied to it which stops autoattack long enough for Crippling blade to happen without having auto attack break invis.  Tear just to follow suit and round off a melee combo. Now for ranged macro's.  These work most effeciently in grouped combat. /toggleautoattack /useability Surveil /useability Hidden Shot(since mine is master2) This combo reduces aggro, puts you in stealth rather quickly, and then fires it off, turning on auto attack automatically afterwards, just not bow attack. Another is, /useability Snipe /useability Sharp Shot /useability Evasion Now snipe isn't a Bow CA, but it does have range on it allowing you to be able to fire arrows and use it at the same time.  What it does is reduces defense, fires off a double volley and evades to reduce aggro.  These are some that I use.  If they help ya great, if not *shrug* <div></div><p>Message Edited by The_Wind on <span class="date_text">10-12-2005</span> <span class="time_text">03:56 PM</span></p><p>Message Edited by The_Wind on <span class=date_text>10-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:56 PM</span>
