<DIV>How about Honed Reflexes?</DIV> <DIV>I think you can only find that in Adept III or maybe Master</DIV>
Good point. Honed Reflexes came with Bloodlines, is useable at level 35, and can be crafted by jewellers at anywhere from App 3 to Adept 3 quality.

Honed Reflexes was the Bloodlines added Predator art. Level 35, was originally available from the NPC as an app II, though apprentice and adept III recipes became available to Jewelers, so you can find it as app II, III or IV, and adept III. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm currently showing Makeshift Arrows as a level 20 art as well, so looks like that's where it is now.</DIV>

Hey, now that reminds me... we also have the splitpaw spell called Trick of the Hunter I think.

10-08-2005, 01:59 AM
Trick of the Hunter? How do you get it and or at what level?
Deila
10-08-2005, 02:14 AM
Trick of the Hunter is a level 20 art. Basically an improved Impede/Entrap - but reduces Magic resistance instead of heat and has a 10% chance to proc a full root (which never once actually procced for me in all the time I was using it) on top of the snare. You can buy it from the Splitpaw merchant in the Den once you've gained trust with them.

<DIV>Stormrider, that may be thorny trap that you were reading about. I just had the Adept III made last night for it, and I remember in the description is says something like "summons a pet". But I think it works more like a b00by trap. You place it on the ground, and when the mob walks over it, it hit them with piercing damage and roots or snares or something. It will be interesting to see what it looks like. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have the fluff pets and they seem to be completely useless.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It is interesting that we only know of 2 spells (at least the list above would indicate) that we get at 60. Shouldn't it be like 3? Maybe there is some mystery spell out there that we don't know about yet. Wow, I hope so.. hehe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And I agree that I like this format better than the linked site, especially since I can actually see this one at work. </DIV><p>Message Edited by GrayStorm on <span class=date_text>12-18-2004</span> <span class=time_text>09:39 AM</span>

<P><BR>Great info! - I took yer table Gneen and modified it a bit with some corrections that have been posted here, as well as adding mouseovers with the full skill description from the updated listing on EQ2 players. Also put the skills into columns reflecting the level range you get them at so I could easily see what things I get at what tier.</P> <P>My guild's webforums allow us to post html - so I posted it <A href="http://whispers.boardsxp.com/viewtopic.php?p=17#17" target=_blank>there</A> or you can go to my own site for the basic html page:</P> <P><A href="http://www.freewebs.com/ryokousha/Games/EQ2/ranger-skilltable.html" target=_blank>Ranger Skill Path</A></P> <P>Heh - I liked this so much I've done tables for Ranger, Coercer, Assassin, and Dirge so far since they finally got around to updating those EQ2 skill lists (making it easy to get the spell descriptions programatically).</P> <P> </P>

Vyaelin, Great chart! The only thing I've noticed is that the mouseovers work in IE, but not Firefox (I haven't tried other browsers) and you have Rhyn's Tiger as a level 20 pet (not sure if that is correct or not). This chart will be staying on my bookmarks! <div></div>

<div></div><div></div>Thanks for the catch, no the tiger pet is level 50 - all fixed. On the mouseovers though, they work fine in my Firefox browser. I have noticed some odd behavior though; if you have Everquest2 open and non-minimized while trying to view the html pages in a browser on a 2nd monitor - the mouseovers won't happen all the time (even with the browser having focus) - minimizing EQ2 solved the problem for me. (was this the situation when you were looking at them?) The mouseovers are being done in basic html (using the title parameter) so no fancy javascript or other stuff. I actually expect it should work with most modern browsers. I am working on creating a javascript version because I want to extend the table a bit and put in the actual spell effects so perhaps this will become a nonissue eventually. [Edit] I have added an extended tooltip via javascript - currently it's set to appear if you click on a table entry - I might go in and replace the normal tooltips with this (so no clicking required). This should also allow Firefox browser users to see the full description (it was truncating the description in the normal tooltips). <a href="http://www.freewebs.com/ryokousha/Games/EQ2/ranger-skilltable.html" target=_blank>Ranger Skill ProgressionTable</a> <div></div><p>Message Edited by Vyaelin on <span class="date_text">10-20-2005</span> <span class="time_text">08:14 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Vyaelin on <span class=date_text>10-20-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:58 AM</span>

I think this need to be put in the persistent topic at the top of the list instead of a guide to kiting which is irrelevant now, again this is the best tool to decide on the priorities of skill upgrading (adept 1 or 3 or master) depending on your play style, again thanks for the ranger community <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</P> <P>Corwin Ranger 55 - Phoenix Legion - Oasis</P>

<DIV>New big update for the table - if you go to the table with screenshots of the skills - the page with screenshots also lists links for ingame stats of the item (from <A href="http://www.eq2linky.com" target=_blank>http://www.eq2linky.com</A>) - These item links when said in say/guild/raid/etc in game will give you a link to the skill so you can see the stats as per Sony's database (thus filling in some skills I don't have screenshots of or giving more reliably up to date images as things change).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://whisperlands.homedns.org:336/games/eq2/ranger-skilltable-screenshots.html" target=_blank>Ranger Skilltable with Screenshots</A></DIV> <DIV><A href="http://www.freewebs.com/ryokousha/Games/EQ2/ranger-skilltable.html" target=_blank>Ranger Skilltable with no screenshots</A></DIV> <DIV><A href="http://www.freewebs.com/ryokousha/Games/EQ2/eq2-class-progression-tables.html" target=_blank>All Skill/Potion tables</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Let me know if you find any links that aren't working. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Did the Feral Instincts thing ever get sorted out? I see it's not on the main list and there was apparantly some debate over where it fits. I'm just curious what line it's in. I'm not that high yet I just saw it on ogaming and it looked like a nice buff I just don't know what line it's in or if it's on it's own or what so I was curious. Thanks for your help and great topic!<div></div>

<div>Note Killing Instinct is a 67 lvl spell. Got bumped to 13 lvls instead of 14 so we didn't have to get a level without any spells.</div>

Hmmm... What options do you have now?

<div></div>those are the spells i get from lvl10-14 i am only lvl10 now need to know which of those 5 are my 4 choices for master 2. making adept3 spells and looking to buy master spells. i am planing ahead but i dont know what my master2 choices are when i hit lvl14. the only one with same name is hunters instinct.
<p>10 Shadow Leap - A deadly attack that deals very high damage. It can only be used behind or on the side of the target while in stealth.</p><p>11 Reconnoiter - Reduces the amount of hate that the ranger accumulates in combat.</p><p>12 Bleeding Cut - A penetrating attack that deals significant damage over time.</p><p>13 Hunter's Instinct - Increases agility, attack speed, and the in-combat movement speed of the ranger.</p><p>13 Lunge - Deals damage from range and causes the target to bleed, dealing additional piercing damage over time. (This will be changing to a DMG + 4sec root with LU21)</p><p>14 Stalk - Lowers target's hate towards the predator and places the predator into stealth.</p><p>That's what I found on ogaming. I would go for Shadow Leap myself. The Master II will be better than your 24th lvl upgrade unless you get an Adept III for it. I always tend to go for the DMG CAs when I get Master II choices. Hope that helps.</p>

Anyone know the differences between Leg shot Adept I and Master II?I'm only 42 but debating which master to take at 44. I already have Hidden Fire Master I and Blazing Thrust Master I. I ask because at 44 you get to chose a Master II skill, and since I already have two of the four in Master forms I was wondering which one out of the two to get.<div></div>

I think Triple Fire is a master 2 choice at 44, I'd take that.<div></div>

<span><blockquote><hr>Man0warr wrote:I think Triple Fire is a master 2 choice at 44, I'd take that.<div></div><hr></blockquote>It is. And back in the day there were many debates between triple fire and stealthy fire. I chose stealth and would again, especially with the monk like parry abilities of MoBs.</span><div></div>

Well there's a Triple Fire Master I on the broker for a decent price, so playing with the idea of getting that.<div></div>
