<DIV>How do you duel? whats your combo and who have ya beaten/how.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am currently at 7:2 with a fury freind of mine I beat her first ever duel, then she found a way to beat me and suceeded twice then I splated her to the floor 6 times in a row the last 5 she didn't get a spell off. (All these duels are level 51 vs level 51 unless stated otherwise)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Combo = Cheap shot > Culling of the Hurd > Triple Shot > Debilating Arrow and if your apponent is still alive finish them with a Storm of Arrows <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This also worked perfectly against a illusionist flawless victory twice until he gave up =) Also perfect for conjurers and wizards probally all casters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Unfortunatly A templar did not go so well, Reactives and Mitigation hold out for first 5 opening moves, by then it's unstuned and healing and then the battle just drags on and on until you die... <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Found this first against a 54 templar and then against a 51 templar.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Going to try a warden soon as for tanks, well they are all too scared to fight me in guild so going to have to find random ones.</DIV>

<P>only duelled against a mystic one level higher then me, twice.<BR>first time it took me a while, cause i didn't get the hang of stealth and backstab in duell, so she had time to heal and ward; but eventually i won, she didn't even damage me that i would have noticed.<BR>second time i just cheap shot/ranged, little bit melee, cheap shot/ranged again, she's dead. took me around 20-30 seconds.</P> <P>--------------------------<BR><A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=383113204" target=_self>Ryilan Nightbreeze </A><BR>--------------------------</P>

Heavy Tanks are no threat. I have melee'd a couple to death, using the bow the fights only last seconds. Monks on the other hand are quite tricky. I've beaten some and been beaten (repeatedly) by one. Mages are pretty easy, Illusionists depend on who gets the drop on whom. I've only fought one Swashbuckler and it was quite easy but I think that was the individual. The only healer I've dueled was a Templar and it was a long fight but not terribly hard. After my first duel when I really didn't know what was going on, I've only lost to Monks. <div></div>

<DIV>Cheap soliution for bruisers and monks is to use a low inititial hit/high DoT posion. Do the usuall stun --> Surveil --> Hidden Fire but wait for your stun to recycle before pulling the trigger on the Hidden Fire. After (hopefully) the poison procs re-stun and use your other non combat sneak to re-hide and let the poison tick off. You can do this pretty much all you want. A bruiser accused me of doing this once is where I got the technique while in actuality he was just running around so much I stayed stealthed a good amount of time waiting for him to give me his back so I could Hidden Fire him again. Once again...probably not the most honorable way to win a fight but I am about winning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>All tank classes are pretty easy even if they are higher level. Only chance they have is timing an initial stun to go off right at the start. Wizards and Warlocks are by far the easist, typically one shot and dead. I haven't fought a Necro yet but Conjuror's are deadly. Or I should say a well played Conj is deadly. The one guy in guild I've fought latetly I seem to have no chance against is a Troub. He is two levels higher so they may be a large factor but he can just keep me mezzed the entire fight. Damm Troub keeps me mezzed and harmless alot better then any Chanter I've fought. Chanters are fairly easy unless they are multiple levels above me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Of course all these result are with the use of cheap poison. I don't have the bank roll to waste good ledgendary poisons and debuffs on a dual. If they ever decide to fix dual losses so Scouts don't get screwed over loosing their poison I'm sure my dualing results would skyrocket.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Fought against a all classes exept scout archetype..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The fighters are easy.. though paladins can heal.. Priest are more difficult cause i don't kill them before they finish a healing spell, wich sucks.. but, Im working on it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Mages are not the toughest.. low mitigation, quick fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I allways start off with stealth, get behind target - Hidden Fire (500 - 850) - Triple Fire (50 - 100, 100 - 180, 160 - 300) - Flaming Shot (70 - 110, 70 - 110) - Cheap Shot (6 sec stun) - get behind target - Culling the Herd (320 - 550) - Cripling Arrow (360 - 600) - and after this the melee fight starts IF the target is still alive :p</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So we are talking about 1630 - 2800 in 10 - 15 seconds.. That is pretty good <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like the ranger.. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>Too much work, for any Mage or Priest Class it's :</P> <P>Cheapshot (Get this off immediately when duel starts, asafp)</P> <P>Triple Arrow (mages die here)</P> <P>Storm of Arrows or Debilitating Arrow (Priests Die here)</P> <P>If the priest isnt dead just keep nailing him with bow shots, with your procs and poison you should be able to out damage any heals.</P> <DIV>For fighters it's the same except I usually Snare them after Storm or Just tank them and turn on Stream of Arrows. Sometimes I dont even bother with any skills and just hit Stream of Arrows, most classes die pretty quick to it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For Other scouts, make sure not to get cheap shotted yourself, and just start with a Stream of Arrows, or cheap shot them 1st and Triple Arrow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So the lesson is:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheap Shot + Triple XXX + One other bow skill = 90% classes dead.</DIV>

<P>Think that depends on what lvl you are and wich quality skills you got <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Im 43 and got Cripling Arrow at Master 2 quality as the only upgrade..</P><p>Message Edited by Wozicasamoll on <span class=date_text>10-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:17 PM</span>
<DIV>Eek, don't get her started on her list of Masters and Adept IIIs... <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But the tactic is the same across the board - Cheap Shot is the single most important skill for us in a duel. He who stuns, wins. We have a lethal combination in our class - we can stun for several seconds AND unleash a deadly onslaught of huge damage in that very short amount of time. Couple that with our flexibility in stances, medium armor, snares, poison, and debuff attacks and you have the reason that so many of us win 90% of the duels we enter. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't tried them myself, but I imagine that stifle and stun poisons could work wonders in PvP. I really do like the idea about using high DoT poisons coupled with invis to wear down monks and bruisers. That's evil, but if it works, it works. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And btw, the tip on Manastone for cancelling a mez is incredible.
