<DIV>Hey there Rangers of EQ, I just start playing less than 1 week ago, and im LOVING the game.  I have never played any form of EQ up until EQ2 and have really been having alot of fun. One of the best features of the game is the community the game is made up of. there are truely hundreds of players out there on the Antonia bayle server willing to help me however they can. With my recent luck I thought I'd try asking for help here in the Ranger forums what i am hoping to become in a few more seasons.  right now i am a lvl 17 dark Elf predator living in willow wood =P.  I was wondering if there were some tips or links to places i can find guides/locations for leveling.  So far i fight things about 3 levels higher than I am breaking the orangeish con barrier with losing about 1/3-1/4 th my Hp per Mob.  however as i keep leveling up the monsters seem to be more and more grouped and this soloing strategy will likely start failing. So any tips or hints to lvling locations or a good place for grouping/hunting for a 17 pred would be awsome. I also have full access to the help of a lvl 15 warrior and we duo ALOT. Thanks again, and hope to see you in the hunt.</DIV>

Stormhold, vermin snye, the scarecrow fields (xp there was always very good), giant kodiaks in Antonica.  That's where i spent my time from the late teens.  Once I hit 20 I spent most of my time in TS and a little in Nek and Crypt of Betrayal.  I think now after 20 i'd do all my the armor quests then head to splitpaw.  The xp was reduced a little there, but it is still very, very good.  Hope this helps and happy hunting!

You can also hit the crabs on the beach in North Antonica. They have pretty good xp, no agro (one named pop's in the corner, just keep your eyes open). It's a little difficult to get to, but the xp is nice <div></div>

<FONT color=#ff0000> After you hit 20 ranger, If you ahve bought splitpaw. Go do it!!lol. Get the quest in sundred splitpaw "the ark of harclaves" it will give you about 20-25% every time you do it. But there is a 3 hour wait time to go back in afetr you go in. It is Great fun.</FONT>

<FONT color=#ff0000> Oh and if you really want a challenge. Or just need to kill something really hard, and solo it. Read that Guide to kiting post in the ranger forums, at the top.</FONT>

By no means a perfect list, but here it goes: 20-50: If you have Splitpaw, making the Flitch's Prank and Harclave run anytime you can is great experience 20-23: Begining outside BB there are groups of heroic gnolls, even with poor equipment these should prove no challenege and can quickly take you to 23. 23-26: Stormhold--Killing around Cpt Hess, and/or the Defiled Knights near the entrance are both great sources of xp 26-35: Zek/El, you can plow through the solo mobs at the entrances of these zones, then move deeper in.  ie the Lamias at the very North of the zone in EL. However, Questing is also good xp in these levels. See the Mess Sgt in Zek or the Halfling at the front of the Docks in EL 35-40: Get your Feerrott access as soon as possible, the quest isn't especially diffcult and there are plenty of quests/solo mobs in Feerrott that will get you to 40 in flash. ((The Huurptics go down very quickly with arrow CAs)) 40-50: Soloing will be slow here, but is still possible. Keep grinding till 42 then head to EF. The spiders/polar bears are easy for their level and good xp. **((Taking into account largely fighting solo. In my experience, you'll almost always get faster xp with a good group)) <div></div>

<DIV>Once again the Eq community pulls through, I've managed to get 2 more lvls so 1 last level before i ding ranger. Typing this on my lunch break, the crabs are a good constant exp gain and go down quickly, the giant bears are always good for chest drops for some reason and the scarescrows are EASILY kited as to take less than 1 bar of Hp loss per pull. I'm going to get ranger probably on the crabs and bears and then i think ill order splitpaw as so many rangers advise it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*edited to make the post readible.*</DIV><p>Message Edited by Elude on <span class=date_text>07-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:13 PM</span>
