The issue is your bow. Its only a treasured bow. Alot of raid mobs can only be hit with legendary or better weapons. Some of those mobs are still immune to pierce but get yourself a legendary bow and you'll be able to hit them.

Not being much of a raider, at least in the endgame since (Hey I'm 36 - gimme a break). Perhaps we could get a list started of what MOB's need legendary/fabled weapons as well as peirce/slash/crush arrows <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Here's the low-down Get yourself an imbued cedar bow (either short or long) Buy player made arrows of the type that the mob is NOT immune to. Some slash, some crush, some pierce better...shop accordingly I can routinely pull aggro from our tank, and do so from time to time if he's getting low on health due to a heal that fizzled. If a ranger drops, the raid does not wipe. If the tank drops, the raid CAN wipe. <div></div>

<FONT size=2></FONT> <DIV><FONT size=2>Maybe I'm going overboard, but I don't wield any non-Legendary weapons anymore. Everything in my arsenal is either a Heritage item, rare crafted item, or another Legendary quest reward. (No Fabled stuff yet.) I felt this was a necessity since the early 30s, when we first started seeing mobs like Varsoon who seemed immune to anything less than Legendary. Thankfully I was wielding Stormfire and PGT at that point. The imbued feysteel spear came later. I have the SSoY and SBD waiting on my wall, too. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></FONT></DIV>

<DIV>Another thing to remember is that 'Culling the Herd' is hard coded to do piercing damage.  So it doesn't matter what type of arrow you use, mobs that are immune to piercing will not take any damage from it.  You'll still get the change for procs but won't see any damage from the combat art.  Also it will not show up an being immune the line in your combat scroll just will not show at all, it's the same problem wizards have with ice comet on cold immune mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That being said a lot of our combat arts are hard coded to piercing damage.  Survival of the Fittest, Deadly reminder, Crippling blade, and Culling the herd all do piercing damage regardless of what weapons you have equiped.  Using any of these while fighting pierce immune mobs is just wasting power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would say that this is probably my biggest current problem with the ranger class.  Second one would be not being able to use any type of blunt weapons.</DIV>
